What settings should I use to get my podcasts?

Set iTunes to automatically update and save your MTM programs

1. In your iTunes program, open your “Preferences”. For PC, you’ll find it under the “Edit” menu at the top. For Mac, look under the “iTunes” menu at the top.

2. Once in your “Preferences”, select the “Podcasts” tab at the top.

3. Next to “Check for new episodes:” select “Every hour”

3. Next to “When new episdoes are available:” select “Download all”

4. Next to “Keep” select “All episodes”

5. Click “OK”

This will ensure that iTunes downloads all new files, and keeps each file, even if you have already listened to them.

Want to check for new programs right now?  Use the “Refresh” button.

Now that iTunes is selected to check for new episodes every hour, you will always be up to date with the latest MTM programs. However, since there is still 1 hour between updates, you may want to check that your Premium programs are up to date right this moment.

1. In your iTunes program, select your “Podcasts” library.

2. At the bottom right of your iTunes screen, click the “Refresh” button.

3. If there are any new programs within the last hour, they will begin to download now.

Make sure you are viewing the entire MTM program list.

This may sound elementary, but this is an easy thing to forget from time to time (I do it myself!)

1. In your iTunes program, select your “Podcasts” library.

2. Next to your “Motivation To Move” feed you will see a small gray arrow. Make sure this arrow is pointing downward to reveal all available shows.

3. If the arrow is not pointing downward, simply click on the arrow fix this.

If your file does not completely download...

Your iTunes program is now set to download every new MTM program automatically. However, if you close your iTunes program in the middle of a download, you will find that this program will not be available to listen to.

If you see a file name (e.g. “Afterburner #98 | Moving Memories") that appears to be ‘light gray’, this means it has not been downloaded to your computer yet. To resume the download, simply click the “Get” button to the right of the file name.
