Jump Back into Reality Without The Stress

So you’re back from Summer and ready to hit the ground running, right? The good news is - so is everyone else! As the pace picks up, don’t let yourself get hit with that familiar overwhelming feel.

Use these easy tips and stay one step ahead of that “back to school” culture shock.


Do Your Homework (again)!
If you’ve got too much on your “Did-I-Do-It?” list, you may want to take a time out to do your homework. Figure out what’s most important for this week, and tackle it head on.  Everything else can be left for later.  Who knows, it may just be gone by next week!

Keep That Summer Success.

If you’re like most folks, your Summer free time launched you into some great new exercises or hobbies - but don’t you dare think about stopping them now!  Even if you can’t devote as much time as you did over the Summer, 15 minutes here or there will do the trick. Keeping up those activities will go a along way to keeping your mind and body stress-free.

Put Yourself in Auto-Drive.
Wouldn’t it be great if those simple daily tasks just took care of themselves? They can - if you start creating some simple routines throughout your day. But don’t go overboard! A routine can be as simple as “I make sure my keys are always in the same place.” The less you have to think about while you’re bustling off for the morning craziness, the easier your day will flow.

Ground Yourself.
(No, I don’t mean sit in the corner with a dunce cap.) Staying connected with your favorite folks is a great way to relax the pace of your day.  Give yourself a few minutes each day to chat with your family or friends to keep everyone moving in the same direction. Chances are, they’ll be grateful for the chat break too.

Get excited!

It’s amazing how much a vacation can inspire you. If you’ve caught the inspiration bug and now have some great new ideas, now is a great time to make them a reality. Not to mention, you’ll probably get a good reception from other folks now that they’re refreshed too.

September is the month when things really start moving, and life begins when you move!  Stand up, take a step, and repeat - and let’s see how far you go!
