You may have heard folks say, “before a new door can open, an old door must close”. In my case, my mother-in-law taught me that lesson after I lost a job over 25 years ago. Of course, I was young and I didn’t believe her at first so she had to revert to another saying. “If you want to see my daughter again, get off your butt and get a new job”. Talk about motivation. Of course, as soon as I got moving things began to change. I did get a new and better job and of course continued to see her daughter for the next 28 1/2 years. Life truly begins when you move. As the year winds down, I’m looking forward to enjoying the close of 2006 and the excitement of 2007. While I know it’s time to take a break, I almost can’t wait to see what the future brings for all of us. I’m taking a week or so off to travel the country and visit a few longtime friends. I’ll also do some planning for next year to make room for a new publisher and our first radio station affiliate - both who will each be adding MTM to their lineup in January. How cools is that? Wait a second - I’m supposed to be taking a break! OK - I promise to enjoy a fireplace, a couple of cups of coffee and a few runs at Keystone and Breckenridge before heading back home in early January. And don’t be surprised if you hear from me along the way a couple of times. From the bottom of my heart on behalf of myself, Carlyn, Austin and the rest of Team MTM, thank you for supporting Motivation To Move in such a big way during this amazing year. We all look forward to spending much more time with you and this year - we’ll actually do it in person! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Scott, Sheryl, Austin & Carlyn |
