Our move this week to new, fast and funky servers has gone pretty much as planned… all except for all of that stuff we didn’t plan for.

The switch to our new digital digs was made to accommodate several new features we’ll bringing online very soon.  And - because I’ve had so many “opportunities” to “learn something new” over the past year with my old system. 

Frankly, it’s long overdue.

I put off the switch because I didn’t go through the pain I knew it would cause.  Then… like everything else in life… staying where I was became more painful than leaving. 

The good news is the Motivation To Move site is working well at this point.  I’m sure there are still a couple of things that will pop up and make you go “Huh”, but for the most part it’s all working.

The even better news is that as of a few minutes ago our RSS Feed began updating on iTunes again and things look better than ever. 

iTunes is pretty picky about feeds and rightly so.  Good, clean RSS Feeds make for a better experience for everybody.  The challenge with their system is if “anything” is out of place, the feed stops working and you don’t get your podcasts.  Of course, this usually only happens in the middle of a weekend off ... planned vacation or a server move. 

Also, as part of our move, we moved the podcast portion of Motivation To Move to a new software package that really ROCKS and is making everything look and work great.  It’s not as automated as I would like but is well worth the little extra effort. 

So - onward!

We’ll keep tweaking and making things better for you over the next couple of weeks so let us know if you spot anything that needs some TLC.

And something I’m very excited about.

I’ve often said that of all the things I got right in my life - I got my wife and kids the most right. 

If you’ve been around awhile, you’ve likely seen my wife Sheryl around MTM Land.

My son Austin lives in Santa Rosa, California which in and of itself is cool.  He last lived there in 1983 when he was only a year old and I worked as a morning DJ at KREO-FM.  These days, Austin is responsible for the look and design of our website.  Just last week he was seen in MTM Land with some great and informative posts. 

And of course, to round out the family affair, my daughter Carlyn will join Team MTM next week to help her Dad with some of the day to day chores and allow me to spend more time motivating you. 

Carlyn is a senior at the University of Florida in Gainesville and is one motivated kid.  She approached me a couple of weeks ago after listening to LOTS of older Motivation To Move Shows and finding herself really pumped up.  She called and said, “Dad, this stuff really works, can I have a job?”

Caryln is a Psychology/Business major who loves to workout and inspire so it’s actually a good fit.  My hope is she’ll grow into the job as Motivation To Move grows.

I love all this new energy and look forward to more motivated folks stepping up to help others soon.  (Let me know if you’re interested)
