Do you sometimes feel that you are always on a diet? I mean, a lifetime member of the club? Would you feel better if I said that’s the way it’s supposed to be? Sometimes I feel like I’ve been dieting my entire life - and I used to think that was a bad thing. And so did other people… you know, the ones who focused on the first three letters of the word die..et. No wonder we don’t like to diet… but the fact is, we already are. If you eat… you’re always eating some kind of diet. Athletes in training eat a different diet then when they’re not training… my cat has a special diet because he’s older… when my children where little, they didn’t eat what I ate. Lots of us take before and after pictures when we’re on a diet… so I like to think of one way of eating as training for my “before picture”… and other way of eating is maintaining my “after” picture. If we’re alive, we’re on some kind of a diet… so what’s the big deal. Lose the drama. The point is, your diet is just what you eat… nothing more… nothing less. Of course a little more of that less wouldn’t be bad either.
