Minute #259 | The Trick of Living 5 Years Longer

When it comes to losing weight and shaping up – most of our success comes down to how you think.  Reducing calories and exercise is the easy stuff. 

Face it, shaping up and feeling great is not easy – it’s even harder to get started.  But the fact is the technical part of losing weight or working out can be learned by anybody given enough time - but the mental state, well that’s another story. 

You see; it’s all perspective.  My daughter was home over the weekend and shared an article with me that pointed out that overweight folks die 5 years younger than average weight folks. That’s huge. 

Still, most folks won’t be motivated by that -because that’s a long way away… right?  But what if it was only 5 years away? 

Well, if you’re overweight you might not get those 5 years.  In fact, you might only get today – because you never know.  It’s all perspective.  A little attention to your diet and a little exercise will not only give those 5 years back – you’ll really live every single day. 

My daughter likes that idea - for me and for her.
