Minute #258 | The Ritual of Exercise

Do you love exercise or is it more like a 4 letter word times two to you.  I know, if you’re not used to doing it - exercise might be difficult.  So why should that stop you? 

Have you ever noticed that over the years there are certain things you do religiously?  It may be getting up and going to work, or always celebrating a birthday in the same way, or - for some folks, always overeating and not exercising. 

Whatever it is –rituals are part of your life.  That’s the definition - a detailed method of procedure faithfully or regularly followed. 

Well, if you’re trying to shape up – maybe it’s time you start to think about exercise as a ritual – something you faithfully and regularly do – because that’s what you do.  It doesn’t have to be anything more than that. 

Just deciding that part of your life is exercising 3 days a week may be enough.  It’s just like going to work or school.  It’s has to be done so you do it.  Make being healthy a priority and a ritual and the rest will take care of itself.
