Minute #7 | Life Gets In the Way

Do you workout in spurts and sputters?  I mean, when it comes to exercise, do you ever feel like you’re stuck in a traffic jam wishing the light would stay green?

I saw an old friend at the gym the other day, I see her every couple of months. 

She’s always nice and relaxed and starting to get in shape… and then she’s gone and when I see her again, several months later, she’s, how do I say this, starting to get in shape… again… if you know what I mean.  You may be just like her, on again, off again. 

Remember, most folk start exercising when life is not too crazy and they have a little extra time.  Everything is great… for a couple of weeks, until life gets crazy again and the workouts come to and end.  So what’s the fix? 

Well, it’s simple.  Make the workout part of your life.  Be realistic and expect that even though everything is not crazy now… it will be.  Expect it and schedule everything else around your workouts.  You may miss a few workouts every now and then, but next time life gets in the way, at least it will be going your way.

Hey, it’s all about moving – do some now… so you can do more later.
