Have you been getting ready to workout for years but can’t seem to get yourself motivated to go to the gym? Well stay tuned, because this time, finally, you’re getting there. I’ll never forget the time I spoke with a friend of mine who owns a health club in Atlanta. I wanted to know why people put off getting a membership and what he said blew me away. It’s seems some folks, not anybody you know of course, put off exercising because they need to get in better shape before they join. “Isn’t that what the gym is for?” Health clubs invest millions in equipment and trainers to help you get in shape, but nothing happens until you move. If you want to feel better right now - call a friend and take a walk, start martial arts, join a Yoga class or get a health club membership, but stop getting’ ready to get ready and do it now. It’s like Isaac Newton said, an object in motion tends to stay in motion. The problem for most of us is… it also works the other way around. Could it be that simple? Hey, it’s all about moving – do some now… so you can do more later. |
