Minute #5 | Music To Motivate You

Have ever noticed how good you feel when your favorite song comes on the radio?  Your body starts to move all by itself.  And you can use that to your advantage. 

When I exercise I always listen to music… and these days I use my MP3 player.  There is a huge selection available, and most allow you to automatically update your music – making it easier than ever to exercise to your favorite tunes. 

And that’s good, because studies show that when you listen to a song that you like… a lot… you’ll be motivated to exercise about 15% harder than with no music at all. 

Not only do you get better results in less time, you enjoy the experience even more.  It works because music connects with all of us on an emotional level, which your body transforms into good feelings and then movement. 

So don’t exercise in silence, crank up the tunes.  Just remember, even though you’re wearing headphones, we can still hear you singing … and it’s not pretty.
