Minute #1 | How Much Should You Exercise

When it comes to exercise – are you getting enough?  Well, if you’re like most folks, the answer is probably… not.  But how much is enough?  It’s so confusing. 

If you want to feel great and stay active until you’re 88… and a 1/2 like my friend Don, exercising your body is the magic pill.  But how much?

Well, the government guru of such things, the Surgeon General, suggests exercising most days of the week - leaving you to decide what most days of the week actually is.  Here’s another way to think about it. 

Most folks who exercise do so once or twice a week, now over the years I’ve found you get the best results and enjoyment when you can squeeze in 2 to 4 days a week… for about as much time as it takes to watch a sit-com.  If you can do that much you’ll always be making progress… and that’s good for your body and your mind. 

So turn your TV time into body tune-up time – because in life has no re-runs.
