Today I was bouncing on my Exercise Ball in front of my Macintosh doing a little writing. Bouncing is good for your core, makes work a little more fun and has the added benefit of getting funny looks from your wife. For me, writing has always been magical. It’s amazing what begins to happen when you sit, relax and let your mind being to create. To put it in Scott terms, “Stuff just jumps out of my head”. That’s what happened early last Summer when I began to write the popular “Motivation To Move Minutes” as a way of getting that “stuff” out of my head. My goal was to write five at time, one for each day of the work week, and eventually have a year’s supply. It’s hard to believe that as of today I have written 200 episodes. That’s when I checked my email and found this short note from Anthea.
Talk about good timing - and it’s true. While others have come and gone, in total I have written and produced 238 episodes of The Motivation To Move Show and the Motivation To Move Minutes since late June and I’m not even beginning to slow down. Every day. Every Week. One at a time, they jump out of my head. Sometimes I’m early, sometimes I’m late, but they keep jumping out of my head, getting produced, posted and downloaded by thousands of folks around the world every week. Each day somebody, somewhere is motivated to change their life and that’s incredibly rewarding. But when you think about it, it’s pretty cool that I’m using the same process to build Motivation To Move that many of you are using to lose weight, shape up and supercharge your life. Stand up, take a step, repeat. Consistently, one day at a time, keep moving forward, even when “Life Gets In The Way” until you get what you want. Could it be that simple? |
