Veggie Pizza!

Rej & Shawn’s veggie pizza

Pizza
1/2 cup of sliced zucchini
1/2 cup of sliced broccoli
1/2 cup of sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup of sliced bell peppers (red and green)
1/4 cup of sliced onion
1/4 cup of sliced calamata olives
2 cups of partly skim mozzarella
2x2 block of reduced fat feta crumbled
2 envelopes of your favorite pizza dough

Sauce
1 small 231 ml can of plain tomato sauce
2 tbsp of Italian spices
2 cloves of garlic chopped fine
2 tbsp of white sugar(optional, but it really makes a deference)
a pinch of rooster brand siracha or your favorite brand (Vietnamese hot sauce)(optional)

combine all the ingredient for the for the sauce in a bowl and mix, next prepare the pizza dough and wait for it to rise.When the dough is finished rising stretch evenly into pizza pan and top with sauce take half the mozzarella and put on pizza.Next place all the veggies on top of the pizza top with the rest of the mozzarella and feta bake for 20 minutes@ 400 degrees. Enjoy!

Hey Shawn,

That looks great!!  A couple of questions though-

What temp do you bake it at?

Is there any problems with the liquid cooking out of the vegetables (zucchini, onions)?

Hi M,
Thanks for pointing out my oversight I have edited the recipe, the first layer of cheese act as vapor barrier, do not salt the veggies this will make the vegetables sweat(bring out there juices).
