So other than our favorite M2M podcast, do you listen to any other fitness related podcasts?

I never miss the Performance Nutrition Show (performancenutritionshow.com), and since I’ve been a fan of bodybuilding since I was 15, I also get Pro Bodybuilding Weekly at bodybuilding.com.

I listen to Weight Loss and the Mind, Health Beyond Diet and Exercise; it’s a podcast with NLP leanings to help you lose weight and get your life in order.

I like http://www.strengthradio.com.  It’s more technically oriented than MTM and Jason White is pretty hard core- for me, it compliments MTM.  Sort of the “bad cop” to Scott’s “Good Cop.” wink

The weekly pod casts are free, but archives require a subscription.  In his first year, Jason did a lot of interviews with various fitness folks - professionals and serious amatures, and they are interesting if that’s the sort of information you are looking for.

I listen to:
Former Fattie (weekly and daily details)
Middle Age Shed
Burning 20
Yoga Today
Bill Maher (Real Time and the New Rules)
Joyce Meyer Radio Podcast.

I think the only time I use my iPod for music is during exercise. Warm ups I listen to MTM though. Gets me motivated (go figure).

I have been into Podcasts now since Christmas and really enjoy Bevan James Eyels,Fitness Rocks,Get Your Geek On,Pheddipidations,Simply Stu, Tri Talk,Triahthlon Podcast, and Zen And The Art Of Triathlon.
Oddly enough, it was Steve from Pheddipidations who recomended The Daily Boost on one of his shows and I was hooked from the first one I downloaded.

I’m thinking about checking out a Spanish tutorial podcast too.

That reminded me of an experience I had recently. I downloaded a Spanish instruction podcast to help one of my boys learn the language. When I started playing it back, I had trouble understanding what they were saying. Then I realised they were speaking English...they had very strong Scottish accents LOL

and I mean absolutely no disrespect to any Scots on the forum. After all who am I to talk, coming from the land of ‘flat vowels’.

Here’s a run-down of some of my favorite diet and fitness related podcasts.

More general:
The Reasonable Diet - (6 Minutes of Sanity and AIM Support Groups)
Everyday Systems
A Better Day

More personal:
The Truths Behind Weight Loss
Burning 20
Running from the Reaper
Fifty Pounds, Six Months & One Pound At a Time

I’m always on the lookout for new fitness-related podcasts, particularly of the personal journey variety. And thanks to those of you who mentioned mine!

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

Fi,

That’s so funny that you talk about the Spanish podcast with Scots.  My husband has been listening to that and that’s why I’ve been wanting to check one out myself!
