Congratulations on losing 1.4 pounds that is so awesome!!!  Nothing wrong with slow progress, just keep moving.  I have a feeling that you are going to do just fine.  I had to laugh about your line about morning coffee!!!  I too enjoy a good tasting cup of coffee in the morning.  I have my own rituals when I make the coffee, I really love the smell of the beans right before I grind them.  Great job with your workouts, you are doing really well.  Keep up the great work.

Thanks Scooby;

The ww weigh in today wasn’t great, but then again I didn’t expect to be.  Gave in to some bad sugar cravings earlier in the week..and then pizza and choc covered blueberries last night..oh goodness wonder why I didn’t see a loss!  But I know what I need to do to see a loss this week, it is not just about one thing but everything.  I like it better when just one thing needs to be tinkered with not a dozen.  So I am not going to let the scale bum me out..who know maybe the 45 minutes on the treadmill and two huge bottles of water before I weighed in this morning might have had something to do with it.  What the scale read this morning doesn’t matter.  What matters is I keep taking the steps.  Day after Day after Day.

just keep on moving that is the way!!!  Sometimes i compare the scale to the stock market, it goes up and it goes down!!!  In your case you know exactly what you want to do and how you are going to do it!!  That is so awesome!!!  Now is your time to move and watch the scale move down too!!!  Keep on moving and the rest will be history!!!  keep us posted on your up and coming success!!

Good for you, not letting that scale rule your feelings for the next week! It’s a great tool if used as a tool, and not as a feelings indicator. Next week you’ll show it a thing or 2, less.  wink

Thanks Scooby and Bree.  Today was Day 22 of the SMST Program...down 5 lbs!! and a belt notch. I am sure that is due to the long slow burn, and the stairmaster at the beach.  Someday I will run up those stairs!  So the journey continues, taking a step and repeating.  Take another step and repeat.
I have been craving something sweet and melt in your mouth for the last few days.  I think I will take Scotts advice and make sure if I am going to eat something sweet and gooey that it is so mouth watering good to make it worth a long slow burn.  Wish I knew what was up with IE, since it takes forever for the MTM pages to load and yet in Firefox it is just as fast as it suppose to be.

And since Scott talks so darn fast, I am going to have to do the SMST program again, as I know I missed lots.

Day 23..and did I walk a longs ways...walked 30 minutes to get where I wanted to on the beach, sat and enjoyed the scenery.  I then started down the beach again, and by the time I realized how far I went, it took 60 minutes to get back to my house at a brisk paste.  Walked in the door, my kid says..geesh mom you smell and your all sweaty...really..could have swatted him at that moment LOL

Thanks Scooby, I know I will miss walking there once the long dark days of winter gets here but for now I will enjoy the opportunity to walk and enjoy some great scenery.  Lots of great fresh air!  My calves were a little sore, might have something to do with picking my way around rocks and so forth last night so only did 45 minutes on the treadmill this morning.

I did it!  I completed the SMSM program, and will restart again on Monday.  I have been either going for brisk walks or doing the treadmill for the past four weeks.  Now that I am starting the program again, I will add weight resistance to it for the next four weeks.  Hubby returns home today (only have seen him for 3 days since the end of June) so it will be challenge to stay with my plan but challenges are good.  Keeps life interesting!.  Today is WW weigh in so we will see what happens, I totally blew my plan yesterday.  Treated my son to Pizza Hut but unfortunately there was no salad bar and very limited menu here so I had pizza but just a normal portion.  The rest is in the fridge, and it is the last thing that I want.

Susan,
Congratulations on completing the SMSM program!!!  Keep up the great workouts as you restart the program again!!!  I hope all works out great as you add some resistance training into the mix.  Good job on eating normal portions at pizza hut.  Keep up the great workouts.

Just a quick update.  Tried a couple times in the last couple of weeks to update this but cyber trolls like to not let me.  The good news...down 2 sizes...finally have a very small taste of thin...and boy does it taste Fanastic!!  Definately a motivator to keep going.  There has been times in the last two months were it would have been so easy to slip into old bad habits.  Life got a little busier than planned as I decided to take to college courses, plus start teaching a few decorative art classes but thanks to the Daily Boost it help keep me anchored!!  I hope to get some time this week to spend time here and catch up with everyone!

Thin is just a state of mind.  If you had a taste of it, then you are there.  The body will follow.
