Julie, congrats on the success with the weight and with the strength training. Are you getting more snow? I was surprised to see more white on the road when I went out for the newpaper this morning. It hasn’t amounted to anything though. Good thing. . . .

Well, I’m east of you so you don’t have to worry (usually) about our snow; we just have to worry about yours smile

Hey Julie

Actually I was looking at the weather maps on the news and noticed that the snow we get up here in usually comes up through the states - are you blowing it up this way???

Saturday, day 365+

Got in a run today and did about 10 minutes on the recumbant bike (with my toddler sitting on my lap) and did some free weights as well today.  It is a gray dreary day here and well I thought I better take advantage of the energy I had this morning before the Gray Dingies got the best of me.  Might just curl up with a good book today.

Julie,
If there aren’t any sunbeams to stretch out and fall asleep in, the alternative of a good curl up and read day is the next best thing.

Enjoy your book and congrats on getting a run and a workout in.

Me grin

I have been missing for some time now....life here has been full of trials but I think I am holding up pretty darn good.  Our family has been through a lot these past few weeks, my nephew was born (hooray!!) and he just had another surgery yesterday.  He has spina bifida and well, we are trying our best to be a good support system to his parents (my brother and sisterinlaw), my mother in law has been having some medical issues herself and may have to go thru with another surgery, and it seems like life hit us pretty hard for a while.  But I just prioritized the important things in my life and focused on physical and emotional health.  I just haven’t really had time to post but I have checked in on you all.

My stats-well I have lost over 15 lbs since December....really got bit by the “weights” bug...and love to strength train.  I reached my Weight Watchers goal and now weigh less....even better!!! still running like the wind, and really researching all sorts of exercises I can do to really make my muscles pop!!  My hubby jokes that he never sees me without a fitness magazine in my hand....

Thanks for stopping by Emmi and looking in on me!!!!!

I’m sorry about all the family health issues. Why do they seem to come in bunches??

But it’s great that your weight is where you want it, you like working with the weights, and you’re still running.

And spring will be here .  . .  eventually.

It is so good to hear from you and to see that you are still keeping the main thing the main thing.  I hear you on the fitness mags, they keep me motivated too!  I can’t tell you how many times your signature quote has popped into my head when i have been looking for a reason to get up and move.  Thanks so much for being here!

I have been keeping busy and enjoying this spring weather that has finally arrived in Ohio....now if I can only get motivated to do some Spring Cleaning. Arg.  My weight is still dropping (ever so slowly nowadays) but today I am calling it a rest day since I didn’t use my time wisely...perhaps only getting in some ab work.  Tomorrow is a new day.  Diet is good...no big temptations… which helps!!!  Hubby has been sick all week and well, just taking one day at a time.  I have big goals for the summer time that I would LOVE to reach but am realistic that I have to be patient.  Oh baby is crying so motherhood calls!!!!
