Scott’s way of gently leading his friend—and himself!—away from temptation is genius. Setting a good example for a friend you can’t and don’t really want to avoid sounds like a great way to get out of a situation that is likely to be tempting. I am going to try it the next time friends want to go out for bad-for-the-bod food.
Like Lori, I think the MTM podcasts provide extra motivation. They not only give me a kick in the pants to keep moving, but they actually make me WANT to keep going when I otherwise might not! I think that is the difference to me between MTM and lots of other podcasts/websites/coaches/etc.: Where others make me feel guilty or stupid for not doing the right thing, Scott takes a tirelessly positive approach and repeats his message over and over in so many different ways that it is bound to click for each of us listeners at some point. I think that is truly the power behind MTM and why it continues to be so successful.
