I’m grateful for....

traffic.....(got to listen to Scott a second time on the way home tonight)
Kisses from my wife (celebrating 27 years this year...and each kiss thrills me!)
Sounds of the train .......its over three miles away from where we live, and its kind of romantic!
Tacos (good way to use leftovers)
Tequilla (okay, not too much, but with tacos, it’s great!)
Mini Holidays ....going up to Santa Barbara tomorrow....such a nice place to visit
Life long friends.....(who we will see over the weekend)
Helping our kids with taxes.....makes us feel like they still need us....(why is that important?)
the new yoga thingy I got....put under your back and it arches it.....feels really good to lay on it...do a few sit ups
the MTM community!

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

To tri is to risk failure, not to tri is to guarantee it!

G’night all,
Julie

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity.... It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow”.

Melodie Beattie:

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them”.

John F. Kennedy
