OK Scott, I can understand the basics of what you’re talking about now! I have a lot to study and think about. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Sometimes the most simple concepts are the hardest to grasp.  Glad you got it.

I’ve been watching this movie in pieces, and it’s great.  There are also links to interviews with Larry King, and another movie that was recommended to me along the same lines called “WHAT THE BLEEP”

This is a great thread, thanks to all for the information and the updates!

The movie has lots of great content but also has lots of “talking heads” since it’s mostly interviews.  Breaking it up makes it a little easier but it is very worth viewing the entire film.

Now.. about that “What The Bleep” film.

I saw it in the theater a couple of years ago and have participated in few discussions on the film.  One thing to be aware of is while it’s produced by the same folks, the message far less mainstream and might be difficult for “first timers” to wrap their head around.  Still - if you’re looking to expand your spiritual knowledge, you’ll love where the film takes you.

I’ve been listening to The Secret as an the audio book.  These are concepts that I’ve known about for a long time and what has brought me everything I have in life.  The book was a great reinforcement of these ideas.

I’ll have to check out “What The Bleep”

Hey Scott, thanks for the tip-in about WHAT THE BLEEP… it gives me an idea of what my headspace needs to be before I watch it.

And thanks for the mention and support on your Sunday Podcast :o) The support and positive energy I’m getting from your work and the fine moderators and participants here in MTM land is immesurable, and very much appreciated.

Cheers,

I guess The Secret was pretty well guarded because I never heard of it before.  I’m curious and want to know more, especially since MTM folks are excited about it.  I was slightly turned off by the slickly packaged website.  I’m naturally sceptical, but open minded enough to check it out.  The DVD doesn’t seem to be available on Netflix.

The one on Google seems to be the older version & the other link is the newer version. Little tip, if you’ve updated to flash 9 player, then the universal laws link my not work right in IE. Just load it up in Firefox & you should be right.

I haven’t yet seen the movie, but the concept makes sense to me. Nine years ago I had been dating after a breakup with someone I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with. (I later realized how unhappy I would have been) While dating, I met several people who were just not who I could see myself with. That was when I decided what I truly wanted in a guy and I wrote it down. I listed the things that I wanted to have in a companion, and it wasn’t a list that was out of reach. There was no “He has to be perfect”, it was traits that I wanted in my bestfriend. A few months later I was in a chat room, back when it was pretty new, and I met a guy. We would share emails back and forth and we found that we really enjoyed talking to each other. Long story short, he moved out to Kentucky, where I was living, and he never went back. We have been married for 8 years now, and we couldn’t be happier.

This is amazing!

I have been listening to the audiobook and Scott’s comments on the podcasts and decided to give it a go.

I had a few incidents over the weekend where I applied this way of life. I’ll relate the funniest one. I was doing the ironing, listening to the chapter about money. Now, realistically, we are comfortable. Not super wealthy, but do OK. I began thinking...’a little more money’ over and over. Within the space of a few minutes, I picked up my husband’s trousers to iron them. Out fell 5 cents. Well, I guess I did ask for a ‘little’ more money LOL  I should point out he NEVER carries coins in his pockets and ALWAYS empties his pockets before placing them out in the laundry.

I know that example doesn’t sound like much, but there have been a few other things that have happened. So, I’m now encouraging my family to think positive thoughts, visualise where they want to be and basically, apply ‘The Secret’. For me, this is a much better way to live.

This is so exciting, I’ve been really wanting to find out more about the movie as well as the book- and now here it all is, available for me to read / watch for free. :D

I’ll definitely be watching this tonight after I get home from working out. That’s a really cool story, fitknit.. sounds like the universe took your request for “a little money” pretty literally, huh? hehe…

Fi - That was funny.  cool smirk

I told my husband about it.  We spent some time imagining what would happen if you’re not careful what you ask for.  For example, what if I said, “I want to lose weight, in the worst way”?  Reminded me of the movie Bedazzled where the Elizabeth Hurley always gave Brendan Fraser exactly what he asked for, always with a devilish twist!  shock

Hi. I downloaded the audioBook from Audible.com this past weekend because I heard Scott talking about The Secret. I’ve also heard Wayne Dyer discuss it in my seminars on audio. After listening to the audiobook The Secret, I’m a firm believer and extremely excited about my future. I can’t wait to see the movie. I’m so glad this forum is up here! Thanks for supplying the links to watch. I downloaded some podcasts from itunes this morning that are related to it as well -the Podcast is called “Law of Attraction Tips” If I’m repeating someone elses suggestion, sorry, I haven’t been able to read the whole thread yet but wanted to share more info with you right now!
