I guess this post got lost last night when the system was down., gotta love computers.

Since becoming a premium member I have alot of daily boosts to listen too.  So I like to listen to them while I am cleaning my house.  So I got myself some good speakers and started lugging my iBook around the house.  Cleaning the rooms and getting caught up on my Motivation to Move.

Well my husband (stay at home dad) like to sleep in, his reason I am home to get the kids up and ready for school.  He usally sleeps till 9 or 10 am. I am the one up at 6 and get our son ready for school.  So I really don’t mind because I get the best time of day with my children.  But I do like him to wak up a bit early, and since yesterday was a day off of school, I could use the help.  So I had time to clean the house and wasn’t to nice in keeping the volume down.  So I started cleaning the bedroom (yes he was still asleep) I let Scott talk his words of wisdom.  Scott is very good motivatior and well it got my husband up out of bed and off the gym.  He hasn’t worked out in about 6 months.  Nice to see him exersizing and even better to see him up before 8 am.  He just looked at me and said “ That guy is really a motivator, give me a guilt trip for lying in bed.”

It worked I might have to try it again if I need him to get up early.

Hi Zanna,

Great story!  It brought a smile to my face.  I can just imagine the scene.  Congrats to both you and your husband.

Cheers,
Julie

Hey guys, sorry if I offended anyone with my other comment, which was removed.  Really sorry.  Just joking around but I probably shouldn’t have.

Hi Zanna!

I think your ‘subtle’ in the way you got your husband to the gym!  Made me laugh to think of it!

My wife has lost inches since I’ve lost my weight (osmosis).....the other day, we saw someone at church we had not seen in a while, and they said that both of us COMBINED were less than one of us were last year...LOL

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

To tri is to risk failure, not to tri is to guarantee it!
