Online exercise planner/trackers?

Anyone have any suggestions for online exercise planner and trackers?  Or even just planners.  I’m in an exercise study through the Coopers Institute here in Dallas.  They have an online tool I can use, but after the study is over, I won’t have access to it.  And I’d like to keep using something like it.

Basically what I want is to tell it I want to burn X amount of calories a week and that I plan on exercising X amount of time a week.  Then I put in what I’m doing, and it tells me how long to do it.  The one I use now is based off my weight which would be good if I could find another based off of weight, but I don’t know if that’s necessary?

Thanks so much guys

Sparkpeople.com is great!

SP might be good, but the food tracker they have needs updateing to be more accurate .. big time (i always find its up to 500 cals off, which is so NOT good, though best to add your own foods from the lables and be dun with it in my personal opinion).

There are other sites out there

FitDay.com - not bad, it works well enough

Eatracker.ca - if your canadian its one of the best for source info on caloires for foods under the canadian food guide guidelines.

CalorieKing.com - good for getting cal info, though its us based for not recomended for non americans.

Fitday.com works pretty well. I don’t track my exercise there, but my wife does. I do plan my menu there, but track my exercise on a spreadsheet that really just contains the details of what I did.

I joined gyminee.com.  They have a free subscription where you can track your calories and exercises.  I like it because I can print out my weight workout before I go to the gym.  Also it saves your workout routines so when you get bored with your current routine you can look back at your old one.

If you join please add me as a gymbuddy - my user name is nashuagal

Have a great day everyone!

USDA has quite a good excersize and meal tracker for free. Its called My Pyramid Tracker. the way the excersize is set up its kind of wierd, they expect you to imput all the activities you do for the whole day but I just put in what I actually do for my actual workout and it works fine.

I’ve been using Sparkpeople for about 6 months to track food, fitness minutes and to blog.  Great community and resource, and it’s free.
