I am still among the living but having a hard time posting and working too. I have kept to my normal training schedule except the past 2 days...have had a very bad cold. I am looking forward to hitting the gym in the morning.
BTW--just celebrated my 22nd anniversary with my hubby!
Happy Anniversary, Lisa....sorry you’re a little sickie.
I remember last year the forum had a euphimism for anniversary cardio! 3 guess what that is! :-0
I hit the gym this mrning with a little less energy than I usually have. Loved doing back and biceps--I have started supersetting as much as possible to keep the amount of time down at the gym that I have to spend at 5 am. I LOVE doing cable low rows and cable bicep curls back to back--what a great burn that produces!
Followed that up with 30 minutes of lsb...my little wheezy lungs just couldn’t do much more. I am very concerned about my track meet next week. I just won’t be where I wanted to be. But I am a lot better than I have been!
Just FYI, I did the 100m race today in 21:56 which was over a second and a half better than I had done before. For the first time I managed to avoid faltering or pausing part-way and I did manage to keep running past the finish line. And I didn’t hurt myself. If I was actually going to continue racing maybe I could get to 20 seconds or below . . . . but I’m not so I’ll just be satisfied with what I accomplished today.
Chad, how sweet of you to come after me! Frankly, i am a little bummed out. I didn’t get to run in my track meet. The track officials couldn’t find my registration and couldn’t verify my age. I watched for people runn the 100 meter dash...all of whom I could have beaten easily.
I have been working out 5-6 days per week consistently, largely on my own. My trainer is still recuperating from surgery and I find myself wanting to use as many free weights as I can. He is not able to spot me. Add to that the fact that I am working full time right now and it is hard to get an appointment with him that works for us both.
I have also been a litle disappointed that I am stuck at 131 pounds and REALLY want to get rid of those last few pounds. It sucks!
I really appreciate your concern and looking me up! I really need the encouragement and I have been away far to long!
Sorry you missed out on your track meet…
Anytime you feel disappointed, you should reach out to us. We’re a good shoulder!
Thats great you’ve been keeping up on your workouts too! Attagirl!
As for those last few pounds, sounds like your exercise is what it needs to be, so it more than likely is the food!
I would suggest cutting out ALL breads, rices and pastas if you haven’t. Keep your carbs to fruits and possibly oatmeal.
That really helped me last January. I’m starting it up again.
Good to see you back Lisa. Sorry to hear about your meet!! That stinks, but unfortunately we sometimes have to accept some lumps and move on. No sence hanging on to the dissappointment because it bothers only you and not the person who messed up!!
Are there any other races you could sign up for?? Something to give you a goal/something to shoot for? Sounds like you are keeping up your workouts - Awesome!!
