OK, I said I would post when I got back from the concert.  John Mayer in Orlando!  He was great, seemed excited to be there and really got into it.  I had fantastic seats on the floor and got a few pictures up close.  We had a great time.  Check out the video clip of Gravity on his blog.  You can probably hear me screaming in the background.

Scott and Carlyn I waved as I drove by the 417 exit.

Hi Carrie,

Just listened to Gravity....and yeah I thought I heard you scream!

Sounds like a great concert…

Eric Clapton’s coming to San Diego....not in the budget....but I’m working on some ‘creative financing’ ......

Have a great Sunday!

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

Tom,

We saw Clapton in November with Robert Cray as the opening act.  They put on a good show, worth seeing.  I can now say I have seen one of the best but I prefered the John Mayer concert.  I know what you mean about the cost.  We have been to far too many this year and the one last night was quite pricey, but it WAS my Christmas present.

My husband just saw Johnny Winter and got to meet him afterward.  Very neat.  He’s old and worn out but was still good.  And he also saw Government Mule.  He’s a huge blues fan.

Have a good afternoon.

I can’t seem to walk slowly (or sit still, etc.) when I hear anything from 2 Unlimited, and the song “Blue” from Eiffel 65. Those are my “get up and run” songs.

Hey..."No Limit”! I have that CD somewhere and haven’t listened to it in ages.  Are they still around?  I always thought that they must’ve been a one-hit wonder, since I don’t recall hearing much about them after that.

Temposhark just put out a new EP, so I made a big Temposhark Playlist and thats been my working out playlist for the last few days.  When those choruses kick in, so does my energy levles.
Hey, Former Fattie, have you checked them out before?  By looking at your playlists, it seems they might be something you may like.  They’re not really well known.  They kinda have an updated mid ‘80s with attitude sound.  Think old New Order with crunchier beats.

Hi all:

A while back a favourite I-net radio show concluded shut eye  long face  its 10 year run. It was called Rhythm and Soul and was hosted by Rev. Steve (Stocki) Stockman cool hmm  and broadcasted through BBC Radio Ulster.
Below is an iMix compilation of songs heard wink cool smile  on Rhythm and Soul through recent years; the ten-and-a-half year run of the show brought many listeners songs with a cool hmm  spiritual twist, cool hmm  songs that provoked understanding of the need for social justice excaim and songs of connection.  smile These are songs that can ‘stretch’ you. You’d find these songs at Live Aid and Live 8. Unfortunately, Rhythm and Soul has run its course downer  and this rare, poignant and perhaps eclectic weekly clustering of songs will now receive play on the CD changers and iPods of the show’s listeners. Have a look for and enjoy wink the following iMix on iTunes.

Ross, I can’t figure out how to find i-mixes on iTunes (I never use it anymore and have apparently become illiterate!).  I’m installing an update as we “speak”—perhaps that will help?  Please elaborate so I can check out the Rhythm & Soul.  THANKS. :o)

Go to iTunes Music Store. Go to second box down on left. Select iMix. Go to Search for and in the drop down menu to the right change ALL to iMix name. Type in Rhythm and Soul. Click on the magnifying glass to search.  You should see an icon that contains a picture of Sarah McLachlin and Michael Stipes ‘In the Sun’.

Ross - you seem to know iTunes fairly well.  I want iTunes for one thing and one thing only - to download podcasts.  I don’t want iPod services running - I don’t have an iPod.  I don’t want iTunes to create folders or start processes.  I don’t want music in proprietary formats that can’t be transferred to any device I choose.  I don’t want limits on where, when, and how I play my music - it’s MINE!.  Is there any way to do this or should I just scrap iTunes completely.  Almost all of the web site podcast links are for iTunes, but I can’t get it to behave.  I’ve even tried hacking the registry, but no luck.  I’m normally a techie, but this one has me totally frustrated.
