OK, so I’m thinking that I’m the only one who likes to listen to KoRn while exercising? I tried the PodRunner mix today but I don’t really like that techno beat type of stuff, not since high school anyway. It was OK, but it didn’t inspire me to work harder. Is there anyone else out there who listens to alternative metal/industrial?

Donnapep,

You’ve gotta listen to what gets you goin’.  Korn is not my favorite, little scary to me but if that sound gets you fired up then load up your playlist with a ton of it and get moving.

Have fun.

My Son always just shakes his head when he looks at my ipod selection.  I have alot of old disco and hi energy type of music in it.  I’ve also added a rock section for road trips with hubby but those are king of oldie moldies too lol .  I say listen to whatever makes you move and gets your spirits up smile

Wed. 1/24 Workout. PLAYLIST:  I’m listening to the podiobook, “Singularity,” from Podiobooks.com.  I really like it.  I’ve ‘read’ several of theirs and enjoyed them. I also like Librivox audio books/poetry.  Plus both these sites are free, unlike Audible books.

I recommend the following.  Stop here if you’re not into it.  smile A lot of these are Sci Fi and violent, so read the reviews/summaries if that disturbs you.

Earthcore
Brave Men Run
Queen Zixi of Ix
Shadowmagic
Heaven, Season 1 (I haven’t liked Season 2)
Singularity
7th Son Season 1 and 2
Weaver’s Web
Discovered Country

Hmmm...I think I might just give this audiobooks thing a try.

I put a playlist together this evening that I’m going to listen to for tomorrow’s workout. I’m already getting excited! I visited jogtunes.com and used some of their song suggestions for songs that I already had on my PC, then just rounded it out with some of my very favorites. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I like the quirky songs that make you feel a bit nuts for liking. I love

I don’t feel like dancing, scissor sisters (it was mentioned earlier, but deserves an oncore)
and
the sweet escape, gwen stefani

anything my hubby rolls his eyes at when I start singing and dancing to it are in.

So I listened to about half of the playlist that I had created.  I think I made a mistake by putting all of my true favorites at the end, because I never got to them.  I guess I’ll listen to the second half tomorrow.

Here’s what I listened to:

EPro - Beck
Run - Snow Patrol
Everybody in the Place (155 and Rising) - The Prodigy
Lying from You - Linkin Park
One Step Closer - Linkin Park
Heavy - Collective Soul
Rock Superstar - Cypress Hill
Black History Month - Death from Above 1979
Godlike - KMFDM
2-Way - KoRn
Battleflag - Lo-Fidelity Allstars

There’s some songs in there that aren’t too scary and may interest some of you.  If you like the dancier stuff, you’ll probably like The Prodigy and Lo-Fidelity Allstars songs.

No they’re not, are they? Bah. Then you probably won’t like this next post!

Here’s what I listened to yesterday.

Battleflag - Lo-Fidelity Allstars
Personal Jesus - Marilyn Manson
Spitfire - The Prodigy
Testify - Rage Against the Machine
Hips Don’t Lie - Shakira
Pressure - Skindred
Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf
Galvanize - The Chemical Brothers

And then I just went back to the top of my list again.

LOL.... wink Just kidding…

In my spin class today, the instructor had some really good songs, familiar but good beat and lyrics!

I played my son’s band song over the speakers after the class. (on my iPOD) Everyone liked it!

I’ll have to post it...Scott, Carlyn, how can I do that?
