Hi everyone.  My name is Viki and I’m from Northridge, CA.  Yes....the place where there was a huge earthquake!  But no earthquake could move me like Motivation to Move has moved me! (good segway, hey?! LOL) I’ve been downloading the podcasts for about 6 months now and hearing all the things that Scott has gone thru has made me realize how important it is to keep moving and be as healthy as possible.  Also made me realize that life is too short not to be good to yourself.  I’m looking forward to getting to know lots of people here and build a support group.  I have lot of weight to loose and I’m just chipping away at it every day by eating right and moving.

Welcome Viki! I’m so glad you’ve jumped into the MTM Land Forum; it sounds like you’ll be giving as much energy and inspiration as you’ll be getting!

And yes… I loved your segway smile

I’ll see you in your 100 Days thread. Good Luck!

Hi Viki,

Welcome to MTM-land!  Great segway, incidentally.  You’ve got a flair for words.

I’m looking forward to seeing you around the forums.  You’ll find people here are very supportive and already to lend a helping hand or give a virtual high-five.  If you’ve got questions, problems, or accomplishments, please share them.  We’re all rooting for you!

Cheers,
Julie

Welcome Viki....

I was born and raised in the San Fernado Valley (Van Nuys) and know it well!

The 100 days of exercise is a great place to meet people with the same goals as you!

I curious....do you have a plan?

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

To tri is to risk failure, not to tri is to guarantee it!

Hi Viki:

Hello from Northern Alberta, Canada.  It’s less sunny here and has been quite cold recently.  I envy cool smile  your southern California sun and its warmth. Anyway, I agree with you. It has been a good thing for Scott to keep us in on the process of life and how he’s kept on keeping on.  His sharing has exemplified the best of approaches to adversity.  Like you, I have my share of weight to lose and I’ve come to MTM for the motivation and to build a support group.  I hope to see more of your posts.  Take care.
