Well, I already keep a journal at sickofbeingfat.net, but thought that I’d start one here too just for fun. So here is what has happened so far this week:

Monday was the first day of the new workout schedule after a week break, and it went very well. Started off training legs (after warm-ups; squats 3x8, lunges 1x8, leg curls 3x8, stiff-leg deadlifts 1x8, seated calf raises 3x8 and standing DB calf raises 1x8). I went a little heavier on my squats, and that set the pace for the rest of the session.

On Tuesday I had cardio, and decided to add something different in place of running. So I jumped rope for 15 minutes. That may have been the longest 15 minutes of my life.

Wednesday was supposed to be weights, but due to a family emergency in the middle of the night, there was no way I was getting my butt out of bed at 3:30. So I jumped rope again, for another 15 minutes. It went a lot better than on Tuesday, but Merry Christmas do my feet hurt today.

Today I got up and did Wednesday’s arm workout (after warmup sets, laying BB tri extensions 3x8, laying suppenated db extensions 1x8, BB Curls 3x8, seated alternating db curls 1x8, BB wrist curls 3x8 and reverse DB wrist curls 1x8).

Food-wise, I’m taking in 2000 calories per day, with my ratios at 35 Carbs|45 Prot|20 Fats. Supplements at this time are Protein Powder (pre and post workout), BCAA’s (PWO), fish oil caps and daily vitamin.

After that little wind storm I wasn’t about to get up at 3:30 to workout in the dark, so I slept in. But, I did get it done in the afternoon, when it was light out.

It was a chest/back/shoulder/abs day. It went incline DB press 3x8, push-ups 1x15, military press 3x8, DB shrugs 1x8, bent over BB rows 3x8, good mornings 1x8, crunches 3x15, lateral crunches 1x15.

I felt pretty good about training, and did better than I thought I would on my diet considering we did a lot of sitting around talking and playing games waiting for the power to be turned back on, which happened at 7:30 last night.

I didn’t do my run on Saturday, but I had a great leg session this morning. After warm-ups I did squats 3x8, lunges 1x8, leg gurls 3x8, stiff-leg deadlifts 1x8, seated calf raises 3x8 and standing 1-leg DB calf raises 1x8.

I will start posting the specifics of distances & times, and weights in addition to what I have been doing.

*Edit* I am going to start a new thread to follow something that I am working towards, the Presidents Challenge. I’ll keep the same info that I have in this journal, but I will also add the points that I have earned so far, as well as where I am as far as my “next” goal or award.
