Day 25, 26, and 27.....No night eating, holding strong on the path to happiness. I’m feeling good when I get up. Not like I have a food hangover.

I’m off to bed soon. More later ...Have a great day gecko. I agree with you that it was easier to change than I thought it would be. What a wondderful outcome too, weight loss, and a feeling of control.

Day 28....Christmas food at work ...that and stress eating. I ate a bit too much tonight. I’ll do better tomorrow. You know I forgot how it feels and I don’t like how I feel when I eat all wrong and too much.

Day 29.....I was home last night and not at work late so I ate around 8pm and that was it for the evening. I’m back on track. I feel so much better when I eat right. Hey gecko how are you doing?

Hey Denise

I’ve been doing pretty well thanks.  Work has evened out a bit - and with it my eating - and today I even got back into the gym!  Late eating hasn’t been an issue as I’ve been getting home at midnight, falling instantly into bed, then getting up again at 9 and going back into work!  As I said earlier, getting enough food IN has been more problematic!

Anyway, Day 26 for me, and only 4 days to go....

Best Wishes

30 days to a new behavior, it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be...I will keep on going because I feel so much better when I do, and I like feeling good. Have a happy holiday everyone! Let me know if you come up with any new challenges. I’ve got to start with keeping track of my water again. I’m sliding on that. Keeping track on paper or here is the answer to anything that I start to slide on. Hey Gecko...are you feeling like king or should I say queen of the mountain, heheh.

Hey Denise, I’m all for a water challenge!

I haven’t been doing good either, since we stopped the last water challenge. If you want to, let’s do it!

Queen of the Mountain!  Hah!  I like it.

Many many Congrats on reaching your goal… and going beyond it!  You truly have changed a poor habit for the better.  Or should I say WE have changed!  I’ve got a couple of days to go but already I feel like my behaviour has changed for good in this respect at least.

I’m all for the Water Challenge.  I’m usually pretty good but have slipped a bit in the last few months.  I’m also already doing an ‘I must eat 1800 cal a day’ challenge which I actually find pretty difficult.  Fitday is really good for this, as I can ask it to average out my eating for the last week/2 weeks etc.  My average has crept up to about 1600 so far and I’ve only been doing it for 4 days.  3 more to go and I should hit the mark - and then hold it there.

Well, my shiny new bodyfat monitor arrived yesterday.  I tried it this morning as soon as I got up and it read 31.5 - which is right where my last gym test put it.  So I haven’t gone down any over the last month.  It’s now going to be part of my daily routine.

How about you?  When will Santa let you start using yours?

Have a great day!

Hey girls......How about a 30 day water challenge. I really have to turn it into a habit and not a here today gone tomorrow sort of thing. I want consistency. I’ll start a new thread for it. If I ever start to slide on the night eating I’ll come back here to do another 30 days.

Gecko...I get my present on Christmas Eve when my daughter drives up from Huntington Beach. to be honest, I’m afraid of what it’s going to tell me. I’ll cross my fingers and hope. Does it have an age factor sest into it?

hey count me in. my major downfall has always been midnight snacking even when i feel content. so “when” i get on a habit of not having late snacks i will have a huge boost when it comes to weight loss

It really did make a difference Joe. I think you will be very happy with the outcome. We did it for a month and by the time we ended we had totally changed the behavior. The forums really work. We did one for drinking water too and it really keeps me on track. I think it’s got a lot to do with the fact that there is accountability here. You come here and report how you did. I tell the bad with the good. I’ve completely kicked the night eating habit and I did it here. Good luck. I know you will do great!

Day one of no nght eating......here I go. this is a wonderful place to come when the emotions start leading me to the cupboards at night. I’m signing up for another 30 days to get things back on track. It hasn’t been many nights but I see it creeping back into my life and that just doesn’t cut the mustard with me.

Day 2 .....I failed miserably last night. I ate ry-crisps with cheese and strawberry jam.  No excuses ...Like Gecko said I can do this I know how and I did it once before. I can do it again. How do I corral these emotions that are leading me in this direction? Sometimes I want to cry and somtimes I want to scream.

Then scream and cry. The dogs may think your nuts, but you still run them up mountains, so they won’t hold it against you. I get on this site when I feel like eating and I’m not hungry. That usually makes the urge go away. Or I’ll give in a little. Try a bath, or a shower—can’t eat there. When I started this health thing, I had to shop only for that night. If it was here, I’d eat it.

But scream and cry, you’ll feel better and burn extra calories.

Today I literally ran screaming from Wal-Mart. The 4 year old laughed and so did everyone we passed. I told one guy I’d always wanted to run screaming from Wal-Mart. It was fun. Give yourself permission to act like a toddler sometimes, you’ve earned it.

You’ll get there too, Joe. It’s like one big money pit. You go in for three little things, and $200 are gone. It’s the necessary evil plaguing my life. So I ran screaming. Life’s too short not to have fun.
