Hey guys!
I though it was time for an update on Sheryl’s fight with Cancer that has been going on most of the Summer and really picked up steam in the beginning of September.
Sadley, she is not winning the battle.
All of our focus and attention over the last couple of months has made her more comfortable and has extended her life. That being said, we don’t expect her to be with us more than another month or so. My absense in the last couple of weeks was to allow us to transition from doctor care to hospice care and prepare my family for the emotional roller coaster to come.
Please know that we are in a very good place about this. While dealing with this is hard, it’s also an incredible opportunity to see what love is all about. The support we have received from family and friends around the world has humbled us all. And… after spending 28 1/2 years with this amazing women and raising two incredible kids I just can’t seem to feel anything but grateful. Yes - heartbroken, but very grateful.
The next few weeks, months and years will I’m sure be the hardest of my families life, but make no mistake. We believe in seeking and seeing the good in everything, we don’t dwell in negative and believe with our heart and soul that there is a lesson in everything. Times like this give all of us an opportunity to see what we’re made of and allow us to choose how we want to feel about it. I choose it embrace the moment and live each and every second to it’s fullest.
MTM will continue full force - although I expect more than a few hickups along the way as we transition through this stage of life.
Thank you for your support - I’ll keep you, my friends, updated along the way.
