Sounds like a good start.  Don’t forget to keep up with the casual walks too. All moving counts.

I listen to my iPod while on the treadmill....the eliptical....the stairmaster....the bike....the rowing machine.....and all the stuff at the gym......
When I go to spin class....I take off the iPod....and interact with everyone....which is the best!!

Keep it up....it doesn’t really matter how fast...just keep movin....Like Scott says ‘move more now...so you can move more later’

Hey Tom:

I listen to film score soundtracks, Broadway Tunes, or watch Angel, Buffy The Vampire Slayer vampire, 24, or Star Trek depending on what time of the day I go. During the fight scenes I kick the treadmill up a notch wink

Wow! - from casual walks to the gym and treadmill.  Sounds like you’re really making progress.  Keep it up and have fun on the journey.

Does Anyone Know if Breaking Up A Cardio Routine Gives You The Same Results As Doing One Straight Through ? Here’s Why I Ask.

I Want To Do A Routine Where I Warm Up For 10min, Then Do An Upper & Lower Body Strength Training Workout, Followed By 20min On A Treadmill.

Will Breaking Up My 30min Cardio Like That Decrease Its Benefits?

Hi Frank,

Here something I read that might help you:

http://www.cookinglight.com/cooking/hl/fitness/package/0,14343,1116702,00.html

“ Crews designed three 10-minute workouts—one each for upper body, lower body, and abs—that Rothstein can do separately or at once. Research shows that 10-minute bouts of activity spread throughout the day can be just as effective as one continuous 30-minute routine. Either way, by day’s end she’ll have completed a full-body workout. “These short, high-intensity sessions increase heart rate and burn calories quickly, and the weight training tones and shapes the body,” Crews says.”

Hey Frank, I’m glad you’re still walking.  I think it’s fabulous that you plan quality time with your family.  That shows how important it is.  I’ve learned from the folks at mtmland that rest days are important too, so it’s great that’ve you’ve incorporated them in your plan!  It sounds like your weekends are very exciting!  Do tell!

Hey Frank...keep up the good work. I’m running behind the rest of the gang too. I injured my knee at the beginning and nursed it for over a week but I’m back in the running and glad I am. Keep on moving it’s very exciting to know that there are great things in the future if we make the decision to continue.
