This one is tough..we all seem to dwell on what we didn’t finish instead of what we did.

After careful thought..here is my list

1.  Planned the perfect wedding (mine) on July 17th.
2.  Fit into the wedding dress that I purposely bought one size smaller
3.  Stood up to my bully of a boss and actually was able to get things to change at work.
4.  Kept up with my exercise routine, even though I was overwhelmed with life.

That actually felt good to do that. I have been very down lately about feeling like a failure, this really helped me to realize that maybe I am doing good in the world, my world anyway.

Here are the goals I’ve accomplished this year so far:

1) Reduce Weight to 170, then 165, and then 160, and well on my way to 150 (my final goal weight)
2) Improve my Eating Habits
3) Start to keep track of what I’m eating daily
4) Find a fun physical activity that I’ll stick with.  I’m now doing acrobatics

It’s a short list, but filled with so much accomplishment.  2006 has been a great year for me so far!

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

To tri is to risk failure, not to tri is to guarantee it!

In 2006 I lost 80 pounds, developed an active mentality, and got acquainted with a lot of like minded people here in MTM Land.

In 2007 I will continue losing weight, learn how to work out responsibly so my knees feel good, and I also would love to meet all my new friends here in MTM Land, including, like everyone else, Scott! I’m up for a camping trip! smile
