Exercising regularly, but finally starting my MTM Challenge page.

Just listening to the Conference call for the Weight Loss Workshop.  Jazzed up and ready to get serious.  Will listen to the Start Moving Stay Moving podcasts again for a recharge.

I restarted Weight Watchers before the holidays and made it through the holidays without gaining.  My sister and I are doing this together, so go to the meetings together and check in with each other to share our progress and give each other tips.  Makes a big difference to have a support person.

I’ll be working part time starting next week, gradually easing myself into retirement.  Looking for different ways to get the exercise in.  Worked with a trainer last year, but plan to change it up.  I’ve been doing yoga a couple times a week and really like it.  Also doing wii fit workouts for something different.

I’ll check in regularly with updates.

Welcome back Priscilla. I remember your posts from boot camp. I wish I were organized enough to do yoga or had a more stable schedule. There aren’t many classes in my town so I’ve never tried to catch them but I do like yoga. It’s great for flexibility and balance.

Having company with the weight watchers routine sounds good too.

Welcome to the new 2010 Challenge.

I’m no longer a physical neighbor, but still an MTM neighbor in spirit.  I’m looking forward to keeping in touch.  Great start!!

Hi Paula and Joan - thanks for the greetings and good wishes.

Did yoga Saturday and Sunday at the yoga studio in Hayward (about 20 minutes from my house).  Think this will be a good place for me to work out.  Really enjoyed it.  Surprisingly strenuous and a good workout.  Did lunchtime yoga again at work today.  A good destresser and made the afternoon more relaxed even though BUSY as ever.  Looking forward to yoga after work tomorrow and the photography class on Thursday.

Completed 5 Yoga workouts last week.  My doctor was pleased with improvement with my cholesterol, but fasting blood sugar was up >100.  He suggested more cardio and less yoga and encouraged me to add some weight training.  I go the Power 90 program and will start this week.  Update with progress later.

Completed firts two Power 90 workouts.  Tuesday did the resistance training and today the cardio/ab ripper DVD.  Both were good workouts and only took 30 minutes to complete so will be a good addition to my Yoga routines.  Not too difficult, but definitely a workout and something that I can take up a notch when I get more used to it.

There’s always a learning curve with new exercise routines. It sounds like the three types of exercise will complement each other--and get you good results.

I only did 3 of my 6 workouts last week, I was pretty sore and think I overdid it. Rested over the weekend (but attended my yoga classes) and back with my Power 90. Took it a bit easier and made sure to spend the full time with stretching. Seem OK now. Seems difficult to keep tracking my food intake daily, but I lost 2.4 pounds last week!!!  Tuesday and Weds - back on track with Power 90.
