I have taken deep water which is what it is called at my gym.  But there were too many seniors and even though it was a good workout they didn’t incorporate everyone well.  I got bored.  I may try it in the evening instead of a day time class. I’m still planning to get to Zumba but I’m going to do that as I get through the SMSM program.  I enjoy the gym but need to change things up a little. February is Zumba month so I’m going to get there.

I’m excited to report that I lost 2 lbs this past week. I’m happy.  I have other things to work on with my dr but I’m glad that they scale was favorable. Even though I didn’t work out I did check in with the medical side of things to see exactly where I stand.

On Friday I’m wearing Red for the Heart Association.  I will give a quick plug for them as they really helped me when my father had his stroke.  I cannot say enough about them.  So to celebrate I will choose to exercise and be glad that I can move and my heart is happy.

The best laid out plans.  Well of course because last week went smoothly this is was going to happen.  Well my dh was ill Mon and Tues.  DD caught it and was sick Wed & today.  So I had to take care of others, nurse, teacher and healer.  I will get my exercise in tomorrow.  I like getting a good work out in on Friday. We have a huge winter storm looming for Fri & Sat.  Sunday will be shove snow day.  We are expecting between 12 -18” of snow.  I have kept to my eating plan and hope to get back to normal on Monday.

Liz, you can only do what you can do. As long as you treat this as a bump in the road and not a barricade, you’ll be fine. I haven’t checked about the snow for here but I’m not driving to Jersey on Saturday partly because of it.

I am pleased with my progress. I received my lab from the dr today.  Things are so much better now that I’m exercising and eating balanced.  I always have something to work on health wise. Last year was cholesterol.  My numbers are really good and I have improved my health so much.  This year I’m working on fitness.  MTM is part of the plan.  I need to take small steps to get to bigger results.

BTW we have so much snow it is unbelievable. 5” already… Looks very pretty out.
Have a good weekend.

Congratulations on the good report.  Just keep moving--life takes so many unexpected turns.  We have snow here too in Missouri and the kids were off school today.  I just can’t keep on any schedule!

Well I did not let 16” of snow stop me on Saturday.  I walked up the hill behind my house.  Natural treamill just walking my back yard was pretty strenuous.  Then I shovelled part of out walk and stairs to the sidewalk to help my husband who spent 4 hrs shovelling our the cars.  It is not fun. I don’t mind the snow but this is a lot for our area.

Today I decided to use my Leslie Sanson Fast 4 milles and I used the firm band. Which works out to an hour of cardio plus good resistance and stretching. it was a great work out.  I started week 2 of SMSM just because I like to have the 5 day work out.

One of the cool things about my new life style is that my jeans are fitting pretty well. I like when that happens.

Well we are set for more snow, so I will be using home videos this week.  If I can get to the gym tomorrow that will be my best day.

Liz, you have a great attitude towards all the snow shoveling. We didn’t get any snow this time but we also have a snow blower.

Hello from snowy PA. Day 25
this week was a challenge.  Both to get workouts in and not be tempted by comfort food.  Our snowstorm was incredible.  I measured 20” of snow out my front door.  We are expecting more snow Monday night.  School was off Tuesday early until Friday.  I managed to get my SMSM program done this week.
Monday - Leslie Sanson - 4 fast Miles and stretching band.
Tuesday - 30 mins walk at the mall
Wednesday - nothing indoors watching snow
Thursday - outside to shovel and walked in the back yard which had at leat 10” of snow.
Friday - gym 60 mins cardio and full weight machines.
Saturday - make up day for Wed. 60 mins of cardio. Finished my SMSM for week 2. Yeah!

Onto Week 3 Monday.

Love how I feel. Stamina is good and feeling tone.  Jeans are fitting well and I’m going down to smaller size!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
