The Wii is fun and certainly makes you look at your posture and how to improve your balance. But, if my son didn’t have the Wii console, I’d never buy the Wii Fit game. At $90 there are just too many other things to spend money on and keep up with good fitness, so many DVD’s out there could give you more of a workout.
Only super cold mornings or afternoon’s in Miami prevent us from getting outside. That was most of January here as the temps were very stubbon and stayed in the 40’s in the mornings. Cold for here though.
Edit: Thursday’s workout.
- bi/tri workout never did get done.
Planning on both bi/tri and shoulder workout after work today. We shall get it done.
Well Friday was a wash. Complete lack of excercise day. However, I did eat somewhat healthy but over in loss calories again.
Saturday 2.13
Bi/Tri workout, shoulder workout in also, had to show my DD how to do the excercises correctly. Turned into a family affair as my son didn’t think I was doing them properly either. LOL! Did get a decent treadmill and walk video in for cardio. Talk about breaking the workouts into minutes. 17 minutes on the treadmill and notice that my little terrior was acting strange. She has had some questionable marks on her belly and upon looking at her...,.to the vet immediately (being a Sat.)
Did get that worked out, 2 different antibotics for a secondary staph infection (ack) and back to a very fast paced walking video. It features 12.5 min. mile’s. Getting better at it though.
Sunday 2/15
Kinda beat myself up on Saturday with so much excercise. Today deciding on starting the day with just 20’ of Wii fit, nice little step for alittle cardio, yoga and stretch moves.
45’ treadmill w/intervals and stretching.
Monday 2/16
Got up this morning and could not hold my left arm straight down. My tricep was killing me and knotted. Did a warm up walk this morning at 4:20 a.m. and right back to bed. After 10 minutes, it just wasn’t going to happen.
Did get in a 5 mile WALB’s (Walk Away the Pounds Video) that is done in 60 minutes this p.m. May not have been a good idea either as my blood pressure is higher in the p.m. (why I excercise cardio first thing in the a.m.) and I’ve given myself a cardio induced headache and am still feeling the higher blood pressure effects. Darn it!
So I am opting for that darkened bedroom, a guided motivation and a decent nights sleep. Very shortly too. LOL!
Jerked awake this a.m. with my alarm. That’s the only word I can use. Wow, afternoon kick butt cardio and I slept soundly. Well, that won’t be my habit though.
Good workout on the treadmill, 52 minutes. Used my heart rate monitor today which helped me keep in my target range. Although putting that thing on half asleep was no easy task. LOL!
Still catching up with posting. Not slacking, just not posting. But, will post that I am down a couple of pounds and am in a pair of Seven Jeans that I haven’t worn in almost a year. Whew!

Finally, am going away on Friday to Key West. My good friend’s DD is turning 21 and has a 3 day party planned. My daughter and I are going and we will get some beach walks in “sometime”.
I’m back....actually didn’t go anywhere, just not posting on my thread. Kept semi half a$$ accounting of my semi half a$$ exercise these past couple of months.
Let’s see...still 3 pounds from goal. Think it’s about time to deal with that. Crazy to take a year to drop 5 pounds. Oh, my excuses you ask? Let’s see just how many I could come up with. Mindset and diet need to be addressed for that.

Good day so far. Well if we discount lunch at Applebee’s. Then again I am adjusting my dinner to a salad and some chicken broth to even things out. No, I am not going into just how much spinach and artichoke dip I ate. LOL! No desert though.
42’ (minutes) on the treadmill with internals at 4.2 to 4.3 mph
52’ Yoga podcasts
- yoga for legs
-yoga for buns and thighs
-yoga for back basics
Now I feel light a wet noodle, abit a tight wet noodle though.
Josie
Oh’ how I identify with you about the pounds even though I have been posting. I have about 5 pounds to lose and I’ve lost only a couple of pounds since this time last May. The exercise part is ok for me; diet is the issue. I guess I really don’t want to diet and that is what it would take for me to make the scale move. One consolation (which may be true for you too) is that my body fat has dropped since last May so I’ve added some muscle. I could have gained weight from that shift but I haven’t.
You are so right Joan. It’s diet and for those measly few pounds it is hard to get back into “diet” mode. I’ve toned up some too, not as much as i would have liked. Some days are better than others as the saying goes. Years in this case.
Turned out to be a surprisingly easy day to stay on track. Guess I need to work on doing that more often. Have turned my exercise routine the past couple of weeks to the afternoon. Getting it done, yet really rather do my cardio first thing in the a.m. hours.
38’ step program
Upper body workout, chest/back/tri/bi/shoulders. 2 exercises each, 3 sets each.
Spilt-ting up the UB workout into a couple of days instead of all at once this week.
josie
Managed to stay completely on track today again. Wow, 2 days in a row. What a concept here. Had alot of crap thrown my way today and kept myself at a even keel. No spikes in blood pressure. A very good sign or becoming resigned to certain things. Working to figure that out too.
Ankle was bothering me alittle today. Thinking too much treadmill time with higher levels, so opted for something alittle less uphill. Taped my toe’s together (did I mention they didn’t quite aline correctly after being broken), wore my ankle bandage and managed 60’ of a fat burning yoga flow with an ab workout also.
Just finished listening to the Perfect Day seminar, writing here and then in my journal. Bedtime shortly as 4:15 a.m. will show up really quickly if I don’t get moving.
Nite all.
Josie
Actually another decent day. Will start really counting calories again today. Just getting the journaling going again was a feat this week and implementing the exercise routine’s full force.
Yesterday was kinda a lazy day for cardio. Nice, semi brisk walk around the golf course, 3 miles total followed by my short legged mini dog’s walk. Start, walk 3 steps...sniff....walk 3 steps...sniff. DD and I took them ( the 3) for a 15’ walk and ended up having to carry the silky home. LOL!
Oh, just didn’t bother with the alarm this a.m. Slept till 5;30 and booked to get out the door by 6:15!
