Last fall I discovered podcasts and Motivation to Move. You have changed my life. I listened to you in my car, on the treadmill, in my home. I was 60 pounds overweight and feeling pretty rotten. I decided to help me by helping others so I bought some shipping scales ( up to 500#), your body fat analyzer, and got a group of 10 unhealthy people at church and started meeting. We call ourselves TOP for Temples of Praise (in the Bible, your Body is a Temple for the Holy Spirit and you can’t be at your best with an unhealthy body!) We meet once a week and motivate each other. Every week I share your wonderful thoughts and tips.
We have a monthly meeting my my home and last week I decided to pile a bunch of fat on the dining room table and have everyone pick up the amount of fat that they had lost and carry it around. What a motivator. Attached is a picture. I am holding my 20 pounds!! UNBELIEVABLE!!
Out of 10 people, 4 have been successful. We have lost 10-15% of our body weight and are feeling so much better. I am personally going to reach my goal of losing 61 pounds. People are starting to ask how we are doing it. Your name always comes up. I am going to set up my ipod the next meeting and let them really listen to you, maybe the other 6 will get the fever too.
I went to the doctor and had my lipid panel done. My cholesterol went from 253 to 188. The doctor couldn’t believe it. He said you usually couldn’t reduce your cholesterol more than 10-15% without medication!
Love your thoughts, tips and practical advice. I keep telling my group. Scott says if your good 90% of the time you will be successful. AND WE ARE
