Actually - we’ve been totally blown away by emails for the last few days from folks that are wanting to get involved so I’m sure it’s going to be a great program. Can’t wait until 1 pm today to see who shows up!
I’m seriously considering it. I’ve been an MTM member for over a year and have kinda made fitness a part of my life. I had some major life crises including the death of my husband. I have kept moving towards my goals, but it’s been tough. I had a broken foot in October and surgery X2 since then. I’m taking a Boot Camp Class and as of July1 made a 6 month commitment to do the training until the end of January. I figure by then I’ll be in awesome shape. I need to improve my nutrition and lose weight. Seems like participation in the Mastermind would definitely help me take it to the next level and really achieve my goals instead of letting them get on the back burner whenever life gets in the way. The $149 seems worth it and would represent a commitment to making it happen. In 26 weeks I could really turn things around. I can imagine having a great body and feeling great by 2009!!! It is possible and I don’t want any more excuses getting in my way.
Sounds like you are perfect for the Motivation To Move MasterMIND. Of course, I would love to have you part of our group but only you know if this is right for you.
I can tell you this - the new energy being generated from the MasterMIND is incredible and will not only benefit you and the other 49 folks in the program - but every member of Motivation To Move!
UPDATE: I did it!!! Signed up for the Mastermind. I’m feeling excited and optimistic. Can’t wait to get started on Vitabot and interacting with the other members.
Scott, Joi, Julie, Priscilla ... I checked it out, very exciting. I’m sure I will regret this in the near future, but I passed on MasterMIND this time around. I will be part of the January 2009 group for sure, preferably one of the select 10 CMOs.
Right now my goals are getting my back in shape and healed up from an auto accident. I try to move as much as possible every day and it’s paying off, but there are days that almost leave me in tears from the pain. Perhaps by the end of summer I will be in a full-blown program again. I am sticking with the 100-day challenge for now simply for the accountability it creates.
Derek, my heart goes out to you, and I hope you make a complete recovery. Even if you aren’t part of the Mastermind for now, you’re still a premium member, and you still get all the benefits that entails. I don’t know what Scott’s got up his sleeves, but I’m betting that there’s going to be a ton of cool, wonderful stuff planning in the near future.

Hi Derek - I know how you feel about having to go easy while your body heals. No fun. I finally got clearance to go back to my full exercise routine after a second surgery for a foot fracture in Oct 07. As you’ve seen, you get plenty of support and inspiration on MTM as a premium member. I visited your 100 Days and see you’re doing great. Hang in there.
I have to pass for now too. Different reasons but I have to watch my cash flow too right now. Also I don’t know if I will be able to stay committed depending on what happens with work next fall.
I joined! Very busy summer with work and kids sports, but decided this is something to keep me motivated, eating well, and in shape throughout. My productivity in life decreased in the past couple years with my abundance of volunteer time for good causes (self-inflicted, yes), and MTM has got me working out better than ever, feeling motivated about my job, enjoying my family, and i know this next step will just take me that much further. Of course the money is an ouch, but the benefits will far outweigh the ouch and likely bring me in more income as a result. Looking forward to taking this journey with the others in the MasterMIND.
Kevin
As a Mastermind member, I’ve already started using the Vitabot Meal planning tool. I input the food I ate yesterday and found that I was lacking in some of my vitamins and minerals and my balance of Carb/Protein/Fat was off. I was able to use the planner to plan today’s meals and get a perfect balance across the board (straight A’s). I like Scott’s idea of having a few meals that you eat regularly. I plan to work up some menus that I like and just use them again and again.
I see you’re new. Welcome!! Good work on joining up for the MasterMIND. As far as the money for this program goes ... I feel Scott has priced it well. Cash is a motivator in itself. If it were $25/month, then everybody would rush in to join and only a handful will continue from there. By dropping $149/month puts some urgency behind it. You wouldn’t want to invest all that cash and get nothing out of it. Good Luck on your journey.
Good point, and i’m actually fine with the money but noticed for some that was an issue. Understandable if can’t cut enough items in life right now to afford the MasterMIND, and for those people i would STRONGLY suggest at least becoming a Premium Member because those extra shows give so much good information. I know i feel great every day i’ve worked out in the morning and listened to The Daily Boost, Fitness Boost, and/or The Motivation to Move Show, and notice a bit less of a positive mood when i miss even a day on Saturday or Sunday.
Bummer on your auto accident situation. I’ve been in a couple, with one hurting my lower back requiring quite a bit of physical therapy for a couple years. Even to this day it is easy to get my back bothering me when i over do things. It’s been hurting the past couple weeks, making me feel much older than 45, but i keep working out as i know in the long run that will help as long as i lay off the lower back weights. It seemed depression is the hardest thing to overcome when the pain is prolonged, but just keep remembering that most injuries get better with time, healing themselves very well and loving anything that helps strengthen and work those muscles along the way. Mine started improving quite a bit after about 12-15 months, and then was back to almost normal at about the 2 year mark. Just know the body heals itself incredibly well, but it just takes some time.
I’ve actually been a premium member since earlier this year and was temporarily a member last year for a while (got serious about it this year), but when i signed up for MasterMIND and changed a few things my “Joined” date changed to the current date. Found i just couldn’t get enough of MTM through my hour on the bike most days, thus decided to take the plunge and really commit to this change. Should be fun too!
