Hey everyone, after a long hiatus from the site, a move under my belt, quite a bit of travel, and sadly a few additional pounds put on, I am now ready to get on track once again in my new home town.

To kick that off I have done two things, one being that I joined a gym here in the Seattle area.  The second and I think what might be the coolest thing is created a MTM group on Gyminee.

What is Gyminee?  It’s a workout and nutritional tracker, which allows you to track your goals, food intake, and workouts, and share that with your Gym Buddies (Friends), and groups.  Now I am in no way affiliated with Gyminee, I think it’s just a great tracking tool!

So the reason I am writing about this is that everyone that joins the MTM group over there will contribute to the total number of pounds and calories burned off for the group as a whole and we can track what kind of a difference we are making here while providing a little friendly competition between members.

There is a screen shot below, hope to see everyone there soon!

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

To tri is to risk failure, not to tri is to guarantee it!

Welcome back Kyle! That does seem like a cool tool! Can we put in the pounds we’ve lost so far, or does it only count after we log onto the site?

You can put in historical information.  I have my weight loss tracked back to mid ‘07 when I really started working on it.  So yeah, the answer is you can enter back as far as you want.

Now that’s some motivation!  Yeah Suzzy it’s a great helper, and easy to use!  I hope more of the MTM folks make it over.
