Carrie: I guess it’s all a process right???
My tough time is coming up ...
and I ate way to much at supper tonight.
That’s it though! kitchen is closed till tomorrow a.m.

Why is it so hard for some of us and not others?  We can have a box of Oreos in the pantry forever and he won’t even think about it but that same box will haunt me until it’s gone.  I’m crazy!

Yes I do get up in the middle of the night to eat. I really wish I wouldn’t. Sometimes I am hungry. Sometimes I use it as a way to get back to sleep. Often it seems like a way to cope or relieve stress. It tends to be a behavior that happens more often when I am stressed for some reason.

Hi there,

How is everyone doing?

I had a few nights of no eating and then last night I got up in the middle of the night to eat. One cookie and some cheese crackers--weird huh? I had an extra helping of food at dinner and while that was healthy food it was too much. Sometimes I think when I start to overeat it just sets me up to do more. Seems like I should just be full and then not want to eat more, but that is not how it works for me. I also ended up having a large breakfast and now I seem to be more back on track with reasonable amounts of food.

Tonight I commit to not eating until breakfast tomorrow. I will check in to let people know how I am doing.

Yesterday I had a good day .... Foodwise, exercise wise!

I’m now tracking my food, which should help me.
I thought (foolishly!) I could get around writing it down.
But the bottom line is, I need to write it down to lose.
Period. No if’s and’s or but’s.

Hey everyone! The summer craziness has begun and I’ve been away from the computer too much. But I’ve been doing OK. The other day we went for ice cream. I’d been craving it all day (darn aunt flo), and finally went for it after supper. I wasn’t hungry, but couldn’t get the craving to stop. The really bad part was I finished Mouse’s ice cream too. shut eye

Yesterday I had a major popcorn craving, but I managed to convince myself it wasn’t necessary.

Reezer, have you tried having some hot tea instead of food? Just some yummy herbal tea, no caffeine. Drinking hot liquids helps to fight hunger, and the sweet taste of an herbal tea may help with the flavor thing.

No eating last night! Yippee!

Yes I have thought of the tea idea and that has helped me sometimes during the day. At night I think it takes too long to prepare. I am often half asleep when this is happening. Sometimes I do get something to drink—water or a half glass of juice or diet pop. Sometimes too I just brush my teeth, which puts a fresh taste in my mouth and can help.

Shoot!! Last night I did eat—some pita chips. I was restless as it was hot outside so I was hot and that opened bag just called out to me!!

I’ve actually come home from work tonight and am not hungry.
I am tired. But I am not diving into food and I won’t.
I had a nice glass of diet grape-cranberry juice and I’m going to call it a night.
I’m tired.
Not hungry!
(oh and sore .... but that’s another chapter!)

Today is the official end of the challenge. I’ve done well the last few days. I did have popcorn last night, but shared it with little girls while watching a movie. Going to Vacation Bible School every night really helps on eating. I just need to keep myself busy and it works.

I’m going to keep doing the no emotional eating and post it in my 100 days. Thanks to all who joined it, whether they posted or not! wink

I had yet another good night last night (with challenges) and it’s a learning process so I’m glad this check in was here for me to pay more attention. I guess that’s all it needs sometimes .......

I will continue to analyze as well. Control my emotional eating. Hmmmmmmm....
