I LOVE that song (switchfoot, your signiture) Jon Foreman (singer for Switchfoot) is our Pastor’s son........ and we get free ‘concerts’ every once in a while.....
I’ll use the words to the song to get you through the 100 days complete…
As for how the new routine is going, my new lifestyle since i moved away from home to attend university takes a bit of getting used to. The gym room where i live has all the basic gear, although the weights seem to be designed for quite fit men cause i can only lift the second lowest one. I’m doing a lot of walking since my campus is so big it has its own postcode and places i need to go are spread out across it. Now i just have to get the diet thing happening right. There’s so many take away food places on campus and i have no idea about the nutritional content of the food from catering where i live beyond that its halal. I’ve been trying to eat as much as possible at the vegetarian place on campus. healthy and cheap food. I can get a whole meal for AU$4 (about US$3.60)
Day 3: Did a lot of walking
Day 4: Spent some time on the cardio equipment at qym
Day 5: rested cause i wasn’t feeling very good
Day 6: Did weights and cardio workout
Day 7-10. I think i got to the gym once. I had a crazy week. My laptop died the day before 2 assignments were due taking the most up to date versions with it so exercise had to come down the priority list for a while!
yeah spent all friday trying to resurect the assignments from earlier versions on my memory stick and my notes. I eventually got them in with 15 minutes until the deadline. Its still giving me trouble. it struggles to make it through the startup process and into windows without freezing. Maybe one in thirty attempts works.
I’m back. My laptop remains dead so i have had very limited internet access all week. It looks like i’ll be buying a new one tomorrow. Not only is that a huge dent in my savings but it will take a long time to get all the programs back, files on, networking and language settings in place ect. So frustrating to have it happen mid semester when i’m in the middle of a whole lot of work. I’m trying to take a few deep breaths and not get too stressed about it.
Day 12-16 kept doing a lot of walking and got to the gym once. Must get back into the habit better
Sorry to hear about the computer… it is so frustrating when they go on the fritz. Mine died on me when I was working on applications to Teacher’s college a few years ago. Thank-goodness my printer had just run out of ink and I had emailed all the stuff I was working on so I could use my mom’s computer instead. I wouldn’t be a teacher now if it hadn’t been for that printer!! My brother managed to get most of the important files that I wanted off the hard drive, but there are still a few things I wish he could have saved.... my lesson in not backing up my computer.
Some exercise will do you some good to help realeas the extra stress you’ve been under. Go for it!!
Day 17: busy preparing for party
day 18: felt guilty about what i ate at party so went to the gym and did cardio
day 19: took a rest day
day 20: did cardio and weights
Day 21: Didn’t do much
Day 22: walked over an hour
Day 23: Have somehow strained the muscles in my legs so had to mostly focus on upper body stuff in the gym.
The craziness of trying to schedule college life. Keep sneaking moving in when you can, and enjoy it. Think of it as recess and it helps keep you going.
had a few glitches getting it going- like spending ages playing with the network settings trying to make it network only to discover the problem was a bad cable. for a cheapish laptop it seems to have a ridiculous amount of features- camera, microphone, blutooth, sd card slots, finger print reader....... It is also very nice not having to be crossing my fingers and hoping it would actually start up properly.
Day 24-25 spent every spare moment finishing off an assignment that took way longer than it ever should have
Day 26 went to the gym but only did a short workout
