Great Video! (got kind of dizzy watching it though)

40 lbs in 4 months...that’s about a 10 lbs a month, 2.5 lbs per week.

Start by counting your calories...and reduce them by 500 a day (at least) but never less than 1400-1500 (especially if your working out 6 days a week!)

The key is eating lean foods....balanced diet of fats, carbs (yes you need them if you work out!) and protien.

Thanks for sharing the video!

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

thanks for ur thoughts on the video...that’s one thing i have to remember doing...counting calories...i hope it’s not as bad as i think it will be...you know how some people always complain about it...but i feel like a person is always going to complain about something...lol soooooo i say this better to complain about counting calories than about being fat..lol

Cool video! It was great to hear your voice and get a better feel for your personality! Now I really like you! We could have some fun.

Your goal is aggressive, but achievable. You’ve set it, claimed it, and I’ll enjoy watching you achieve it. Do you have a special outfit in mind for when you’re all hot and sexay?

lol dont have an outfit in mind yet...but i will shortly...lol that’s a great thought… me likes u too...everyone on here is great...i thought about doing the video because i can refer back to it and see how much bigger i was you know...but i went to the gym today...had an awesome time...like always...i did a 6.5 elevation at 3.1 speed on the treadmill today...i lifted weights...i was on the treadmill like a half hour...i was jammin on my ipod...lol had a great time… this is my routines...:

Treadmill for 30 mins… sometimes running sometimes walking… but not running for the whole time...(not there yet)

then i do floor work...Abs...Leg lifts...pushups… i’m there for a bout 10 or 15 mins...more or less…

then i use the weight machines...shoulders, arms, legs, chest and back...oh yeah...there’s a machine that works the abs too..i do that...so the whole time i’m there is about an hr...i am planning on increasin that time...with all the things that i do...the time goes so fast...lol

wink

Hey well today is the 2nd day off from the gym and i have to be honest i’m feeling pretty guilty about it...i feel like i have so much to do that i have no time to take off from the gym...just had me some lunch..yes i’m at work and i decided to come in here...lol anyway all i had was a grilled chicken salad with light italian dressing...funny how i’m pretty full from just a salad....going out with my cousin today so today i know i will hit a few challenges…

i’m ready for it and i have my mind set on overcoming and many of you people motivate me to do it...you guys dont even know me and you believe in me and that’s what i love about it...everyone is so encouraging...I LOVE MTM… smile

The people that work at the gym already know me...they see me in there all the time and im always greeted with a smile and maybe a comment on my dedication here and there...today would be day 14 me...i’m so proud of myselfl tho...although i do have a long way to go...still down the 2 lbs...havent gained and havent lost anything…

Do you think i should do more cardio instead of doing an equal amount of both?

thanks my new friends at MTM land… smile

Do you think i should do more cardio instead of doing an equal amount of both?

Resistance training (weights, push ups, core work etc)
Cardio, (swimming, biking, running)
Flexibility (yoga, pilates, stretching)

equal amounts of each.....

The key to overall fitness!
