hello everyone...just got home from a usual workout and i decided to come on and see whats going on here...let me give a little background on myself...stats included...this is my first journal blog and i’ve been thinking that a journal is the perfect place to express my sadness...my happiness...most of all my success..ok...here’s goes my first entry...i stand at 5’3...i weigh 192...my percentage of body fat is 34.0 which means i’m in the obese category which i’m really working hard on trying to fix…

I must admit sometimes i do feel a tad of guilt because i’m not spending as much time with my hubby as i did before because i’m so focused on working out and going to the gym or sleeping lol (tired from working out) that we dont spend that much time together anymore...i kind of knew that this would happen and i did tell him not to be mad at me for it but i want to work on improving myself...for the first time in a long time i’m feeling happy...even though i havent seen results yet...(i’m only on my 8th day of the 100 days) but i’m completely motivated and scott and the rest of you are a great help...i’m just tired of being depressed and crying all the time but this working out has made me feel so much better...maybe that’s why i was depressed cause i wasnt happy with myself...i have a great feeling tho...i feel very good…

Today i did something different for my routine...i jogged a little...walked alittle...ran a little...i do a half hour of cardio and a half our of weights combined with floor work...ie crunches and leg lifts, and push ups...i had a great work out day...i work out 6 days a week and i take off on wednesdays… =) and i cant wait for the final results...i want to see how i’ll look in 4 months from now… =) this is my before pic…

Just got back from the gym today and i noticed something as i was jogging along on the treadmill there… there were alot of people there that had their cell phones with them..they would talk on the phone or text while they were working out and i noticed that they would slow down...their intensity wasnt there anymore...i dont bring my cell phone out on the workout room but i got a quick preview as to what might happen with me...i leave my cell phone out of the work room...smile

What a great way to start your journey, already having lost 2 pounds!

Interesting cell phone observation. Part of working out is getting away from all the stress of life, I can’t imagine bringing that in with me.

yes isnt it crazy...i look at gym time as my time..time away from friends and family it’s a time to pamper myself and do myself good...and while i’m working out i like to focus on what i’m doing and feel the muscles burn and feel everything going on in my body and i enjoy the ME time...lol you know...? yesterday here in NY it was raining so of course the gym was empty...lol i kinda knew that would be the case when i went because almost all of the gyms were available for when i wanted to use it...sometimes the weather can work to my benefit...lol wink

I worked out today....today is day 11...i’m still motivated and it’s already becoming a habit...my friends are asking me how i keep so motivated...i tell them i have goals in mind and being fat isnt in those plans...lol wink havent dropped any weight since my last weigh in when i lost 2 lbs...i pretty much stayed there...but i know that wont last long...maybe it’s because i’m gainin muscle...but i can see a little different in my belly...dont stick out as much...that’s always a great thing… wink gym time is my time and i’m going to use it and i have fun…

today i was jamming to Dirty by christina Aguilera...she had me pumped with that song...i have to remember to play it again next time...lol

my body fat percentage has dropped to 33.7...Yay little by little

Hey well today is the 2nd day off from the gym and i have to be honest i’m feeling pretty guilty about it...i feel like i have so much to do that i have no time to take off from the gym...just had me some lunch..yes i’m at work and i decided to come in here...lol anyway all i had was a grilled chicken salad with light italian dressing...funny how i’m pretty full from just a salad....going out with my cousin today so today i know i will hit a few challenges…

i’m ready for it and i have my mind set on overcoming and many of you people motivate me to do it...you guys dont even know me and you believe in me and that’s what i love about it...everyone is so encouraging...I LOVE MTM… smile

The people that work at the gym already know me...they see me in there all the time and im always greeted with a smile and maybe a comment on my dedication here and there...today would be day 14 me...i’m so proud of myselfl tho...although i do have a long way to go...still down the 2 lbs...havent gained and havent lost anything…

Do you think i should do more cardio instead of doing an equal amount of both?

thanks my new friends at MTM land… smile

You are doing great Ctina!  I love your enthusiasm.  The pounds will come off.  Don’t forget to measure yourself also, so you can see the inches come off too.

Keep up the good work!

Congratulations!  Keep up the good work.  Now you will know when you hit your next plateau to just keep with it and it will pass.

yeah...i will...i changed up my routine at the gym today and i loved it...i did my floor work first instead of in the middle....and did my cardio last and in the middle i did my resistance training...it was a lot easier to get my cardio going and just jump right into my session because i was so warmed up from the other stuff i was doing...i’m going to try that 12 hour diet...but first i want to review on how to do it...i forgot.. lol
