I think you gave your cold to me… ARGH

My weight has gone up a little bit.  I’m now at 176.6.  No biggie.  The trend is downward, so I’m not afraid!

There are cookies in the cubicle down the hall that keep calling my name.  eek.  But I have such a detailed journal (Bree, I posted two days of it last year, if you remember, in the thread about fiber!) that I can adjust for it, should I choose to break down and have one.  Actually, it’s more of a diabetes thing than a diet thing!

However, for almost two weeks, I’ve never gone past 2000 calories.  I’ve gotten close to it, but never exceeded it.  That is a proud thing for me.  I didn’t get to the gym at lunch today, so I’ll negotiate some time tonight with my wife, if she chooses not to go.  If she does, I’ll just have to make it up on the weekend.

I know the biggest thing is diet, and exercise is kind of secondary to that.  But it’s so easy (for me at least) to think, “If I’m not exercising, I might as well eat what I want!”.  Well, not this time!

Either way, tomorrow is legs and back and abs (Cause I didn’t do my back yesterday, I did shoulders only).  Saturday and Sunday are both LSB days.

Curious… What is your favorite LSB?  I’ve been doing Elliptical, but lately I just can’t listen to podcasts while doing it.  It tires me out.  When I did the treadmill, I had no issues with that, but my heart rate was 130, whereas the elliptical is focused on 144.

So, what do you guys use for cardio?  LSB?

Hmm.  Need to get back to this…

May is my exercise and diet month.  I’m restarting the 100 day challenge.  I’m re-quitting smoking.  I started again a bit ago, but we’re talking one a day, so it hasn’t really messed with my endurance, and quitting shouldn’t be too bad.

Depression has been a HUGE problem lately.  Ever since Sunday morning, I just haven’t been myself.  I’m not sure how to break it.  I went to the gym on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  On Sunday I did some yardio.  On Monday, I took a rest.  Let me tell you about that.

Sunday afternoon, I went and bought a Wii.  I took it home, played with it for about two hours, and discovered that one of two things must be true.  Either the Wii is a great exercise tool for my shoulders, or I need to work my shoulders harder at the gym!  After playing bowling and tennis for two hours, my shoulders were KILLING me.  I was sore Monday morning, and I didn’t hit the gym as planned.  Plus a HUGE money deal went through that we’ve waited about 100 days for, so we went out to lunch.  I had every intention of eating “whatever I wanted”, and I ended up with a salad.  jejeje

Tomorrow I’ll hit the gym.  My goal is four times a week, preferrably six.  To hit this goal, I now have to go on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  Hmm.  That should be challenging.  I like challenges.  And maybe the endorphins will push my depression away?  Worth a shot…
