It’s that time of year again.
Winter is in full swing, we’re spending more time inside, and germs are everywhere. It’s a miracle we all don’t get sick… or is it?
In a study conducted by Cornell University researcher John Cawley, PhD, it turns out average weight Americans use about two sick days off per year. Overweight folks use six!
Not only does it stink to get sick – it’s also bad for you bank account.
Employee sick days cost business about 9% - or $660 per day in lost productivity. Take six days off per year and you’re costing your employer $3,960!
On the other hand, if you hit the gym and drop a few pounds you’ll end up like my fiancé Joi, with 67 unused sick days worth $44,220 to her employer. That’s got to look good at her annual review!
So what’s my point?
Losing weight and getting fit will not only make you feel great and live long, you’ll also increase your value and will enjoy incredible benefits because of it.
