Day 15:

W/T - Arms

Cardio - 30 minutes of running, and here’s the cool part: out on the National Mall!  It’s un-seasonably warm this week, and when I started my weight workout all 3 treadmills were occupied (4th one has been out of order for 2 weeks).  The thought hit me that I could head outside for my cardio, and even though a treadmill had opened up by the time I finished my weights, I was still inspired to run outside so… I did!!

Great workouts Tim…

I’m such a whimp when it comes to running....(most of my winter has been spent on the treadmill). I have NO excuses, except that I leave for work early to get a swim in sometimes first, and it’s dark early.

Keep up the consistency!

Tom -

The hilly trails around my townhouse are challenging, but still a chance for exploration since I only moved into the neighborhood two months ago - and it was running around the Washington Monument and alongside the Reflecting Pool that was so much fun last week!

Day 22:

W/T - Arm Day.

Cardio - 40 minutes on the treadmill.

I forgot how much I liked D.C. You are so lucky to have that wonderful park to exercise in.
You’re doing great! Keep up the great job!

Day 23:

Cardio only - 55 minutes of trail running.

Will probably skip Leg Day this week and do Shoulders + the treadmill tomorrow.

How much running on the weekend TBD ("How do I want to feel on Monday?").

You’re doing awesome, Tim! I’m so jealous of your outdoor runs. Have fun with it!

Tom -

My gut tells me (no pun intended) that I am doing OK on the nutrition side, and I would like to be able to give you a daily calorie count, but I’m still not up to speed on that.

The breakfasts and lunches remain straightforward - especially on the weekdays - but I don’t have an empirical number that can tell me exactly how gooder or badder I am being for dinners and on weekends.

I know I am making OK choices overall, and there is less junk in my cupboards right now.

Plus, the belt is getting looser even if the scale is not racing downwards like it did the first two weeks…

Day 25:

30 minutes of trail running.

Day 26:

35 minutes of trail running.

Tomorrow is a federal holiday, and I haven’t had a Rest Day in a week, so I’ll probably do an Abs workout tomorrow but no cardio…

Z / J -

Watch out, some of the melodies of “Keep the Car Running” remind me of John Cafferty’s “On the Dark Side,” which is good if you like 80’s music but a little annoying if (like me) you reeeallly don’t…
