Hello MTM!  It’s been quite awhile since I check in here, but I’m happy to report I *DID* complete my first 100 Day Challenge on January 15th, just as planned.

While I haven’t posted here, I’ve carried on and started Round 2 with the intention of getting my ever closer to ‘Butt Cheeks that can Crack Walnuts’ wink in here to post!

I hope everyone is doing well!  I’ve thought about several of you often!!

Today is Day 5.

A quick recap:

Day 1 -64 minutes of Jazzercise class.  55 minutes at home practicing routines.
Day 2- 63 minutes of Jazzercise class.  55 minutes at home practicing routines.
Day 3- 70 minutes of Jazzercise Circuit.  O.u.c.h.
Day 4 - 64 minutes of Jazzercise class.  Another 25 minutes at home practicing routines.
Day 5 - Off

I’m doing two-a-days right now to build up cardio endurance.  Since I last checked in I have gone ahead and started doing what I have to do to become a certified Jazzercise instructor! smile Who’d have thought *I* would be an aerobics instructor?  WOOOOHOOOOO!  I’m in training until April 10-12, which is when I have to audition/perform, take the tests and attend the workshops (assuming I pass the audition/performance).  I’m SO pumped!!

Oddly enough, I’m not worried about the routines or about standing on a stage in front of a crowd.  My biggest cause for trepidation is the microphone!! I don’t mind speaking..but I don’t want to be sucking wind on mic or huffing and puffing while I talk! LOL So, I’m doing what I can to improve my cardio.

Weight wise:  Well, it’s TOM (sorry guys) and I’m weighing in today at 147.2lbs.  That’s still a solid 2.5lbs under my goal weight, but I’ve adjusted my goal down to 139 informally.  If I get there, awesome.  If I don’t...well, that’s okay too.

I had salmon topped w/ a mayo/parm/marinade and baked (on a broiler pan) with spaghetti squash/butter/salt and broccoli/cauliflower for supper.  Good stuff!

It’s great to see everyone still going strong!
Keep on keepin’ on!

Awesome to hear your success...Did I read that right that you started at 234, and made it down to 147...that is so impressive...great job.  Good luck on the Instructor training/qualification.

Thank you Shawn and Emmi! It’s good to see you both here!

RJ- Yes.  My high weight was actually closer to 240, but the day I started my eating and exercise program I weighed 234.  The link in my signature is to my picture diary- pictures I took from start to finish. - Thank you!!

And thank you for the well wishes as I embark on the Jazzercise endeavor.  It’s such a trip.  Me.  An aerobics instructor. heh Me?!

I’m off to Jazzercise class here in about 15 minutes.  Tons of housework/organizing to get done today on top of the paperwork I have to get done.  My husband bought me a new fridge- but it doesn’t fit where the fridge is supposed to go.  We’ve just done some jockeyin’ and re-arranging in the kitchen.  We don’t own the house we’re in (we’re leasing it for the next year) so while it would be easy to make some adjustments to the structure of where it goes, we’re not going to do it- and I’m already planning on being buried in this fridge, so it’s staying. LOL Besides, we got a KILLER deal on it!  I mean, really?! A $1500, brand new and in the box, for $329! (Hubby works for Lowe’s and they’re clearancing them out- plus his discount. woohoo!) But as a result, I’ve got quite a bit of reorganizing to do to make it all work.  Oy.  If its not one thing, it’s always another!

I’ll check in and do some catching up on everyone later!

Great jobs on your goals.

Being an aerobics instructor is a great next step, and excellent motivation to keep working out yourself.

Today is Day 6.

I put in 61 minutes of Jazzercise this morning and it was awesome.  And it hurt. LOL

I didn’t do my 2nd workout today.  I came home, spent some time putzing around (read procrastinating) and then my youngest daughter came down with the flu something fierce. Poor baby.  She’s been throwing up all day and looks like death warmed over!  I did manage to get all the stuff in the kitchen sorted and organized.  I even managed to get through everything in the junk drawers and weed that all way, way down.  I’ve got a tiny bit of filing to do and that’s done. smile Now if only the rest of the house were as organized as the kitchen and dining room!

Eating: Well, I suck.  I mean, I did good overall, but I indulged tonight and I normally wouldn’t.  I made my husband some chocolate covered peanut butter balls.  I did fine with that, but the melted chocolate was just too much to resist, so I didn’t.  I dipped 2 graham crackers in the chocolate/paraffin mix, threw them in the freezer and then hummed while I ate them and drank a cup of coffee.

*sigh* That’s the first time I’ve done something like that in months.  I know. Not too bad, but even still.

Tomorrow’s plan:

Jazzercise Class at 9:30am and a 2nd workout in the afternoon.

Lots to do tomorrow again, but that’s par for the course.

Tom- Thanks for the welcome back! smile I had to smile at your “lifestyle” comment.  I was just touting the same thing to some newbies on my weight loss support forum!  It’s so true.  I’m sneaking up on my 6 year anniversary now since I started my plan.  It’s awesome how much a part of my life exercise and eating healthy are.  The best part? I don’t really even have to think about it anymore!

Bree- How ya been?  Thank you, to you too, for the welcome back and your support as I take on this new adventure for myself!

Paula- Thank you!  - No kidding about keeping motivation to kee my butt in gear and in good shape, eh?  I mean really, how cool is that? Work out and get paid to do it?!!

Shawn- heh. It’s good to see you again smile Ya know, I rounded the corner into the kitchen tonight and my husband was standing there hugging the fridge. LOL! What a goober! Needless to say, we’re both excited about being able to open it up and not only having room in there for all our stuff, but the shelving doesn’t fall! It’s so cool! wink

RJ- Thank you! I worked my butt off- literally!

Will check in again soon!

Brook...just remember when you eat that ‘extra’ chocolate....it takes how much extra time on the treadmill to work it off?

“we workout so we can go out” as Scott has said....

looking forward to your posts!

Ha! Fair enough.  But ya know, I’m hard pressed to feel horribly guilty about eating 2 graham crackers with chocolate once every year or two wink

Off to bed with me.  See y’all soon smile

Even if you ate that once every couple weeks I don’t think it would be a big deal, especially with all the exercizing you do. Enjoy your fridge, if your husband lets you near it!  wink

That Jazzersize sounds like alot of fun.  Your site looks great.  Great pics.  It is alot like melting away, your the same person just without the extra packing.  Cool to see a success story and that you’ve made the lifestyle change for good.
