Well I decided that the day after Thanksgiving ‘07 something had to change. I stepped onto the scale to see myself at 240 pounds. Nearly an all time high for me. A few years ago I lost 50 pounds and it’s slowly been creeping back on. I started journaling everything I ate and a daily weigh in as well as daily exercise.
Today I’m down 11 pounds since thanksgiving and I’m committed to continuing this trend for the next 100 days on into the rest of my life.
My goals are to exercise Monday through Saturday at least 30 minutes using the Power 90 video series.
To continue daily journaling of my food intake and my morning weight.
To reach my short term goal of 210 pounds by the end of this first 100 days.
2008 is the year I get into the best shape of my life and keep it. So up, up, and away!
Hi CK!!! Welcome to MTM land and the 100 day challenge!! Isn’t it funny how the weight seems to sneak up on us? It is quite shifty but can be defeated! Let me congratulate you on your 11 pound weight loss-especially through the holiday season!!! WOW! I am the same as you, keeping track of my food intake is my saving grace. You have some great goals and a fun journey ahead!! Keep us posted on your day to day discoveries!!!!!
30 Minutes of Weight Training with Power 90 Sculpt Routine.
Donuts and a pizza lunch provided at work today. I was pretty good in the morning but by the time lunch was coming around the stressful day gave me an excuse to lose my resolve. Keep moving forward tomorrow.
Free junk food is so hard to turn down, especially when you’re hungry and stressed. I love your move forward attitude, that will take you to that goal!
Congrats on the 11 pounds + so far. You are doing fantastic!
45 Minutes of Power 90 Cardio with Ab Ripper routine
Lunch provided at work again today but today I had a much easier time maintaining control over portions and not overeating. Lots of water and some healthy snacks helped with that.
you know what you are doing right, if you don’t let yourself get super hungry then it is easier to resist those not-so-good foods. Sounds like you work at a fattening farm or something....is it free lunch everyday?!?!? Great job thus far.
I work for an apartment management company in their in house cable department. This week we are launching a new Dish Network system at one of our communities. This involves 8 maintenance personnel installing 70 - 100 Dish Network receivers each day. For the first two days of the launch the company provides lunch and sometimes donuts for the staff to keep them happy and to keep them from scattering during lunch hour.
The problem is we start a new Launch at a different property every two to three weeks which means two days of free junk food and I manage the launch site where all the food is kept during the day. It does keep the maintenance guys happy though.
Morning: 30 Minutes of Weight Training with Power 90 Sculpt Routine.
Evening: 30 Burpees and 20 Pushups
Thanks for the Burpee link Bree, I did 3 sets of 10 with rest and pushups in between. 15 minutes to complete them all and I felt like I was going to drop on the spot.
Pretty good on the eating today. No junk food provided!
I was doing really well on my eating until before bed. Then I just had to have something sweet. Several marshmallows later my sweet tooth was satisfied and my fit self was bummed that I gave in at the worst time of day to put all those sugars into my body.
Anyone have a healthy late nite snack to satisfy a sweets craving? I probably should have just gone to bed anyway.
You really ARE doing great, as for the sweets cravings, if it is too late to eat I just pop a piece of hard candy in my mouth. Just a few calories and well, it keeps my mouth occupied. You can give that a try.
Evening: 30 Minutes of Weight Training with Power 90 Sculpt Routine.
During the week I get up at about 5:30 to get my workouts in before work. Today I just didn’t get out of bed early enough to get a morning workout in. But I did make sure that I got it in after dinner. I noticed I’m more flexible and stronger in the evening than for the early morning routine. I’m still probably going to hit my workout room in the morning though.
Did good on the eating today. Sweets cravings satisfied with peppermint candy thanks zookie.
I relax my eating as well my exercise a little on Sunday. While I don’t just chuck it all and binge I do let myself have a few more snack foods than I eat during the week. Overall today wasn’t a bad day for eating and after hitting heavier weights last night I needed the rest.
They don’t call Sunday the “Day of rest” just because!!! You deserve it!!! Glad that candy trick worked for you!!!How are you feeling after day 9? You feeling a bit more confident that you can achieve your goals? I bet you are.
Just finished 45 minutes of Power 90 Cardio. I really tried to kick the intensity up a notch today instead of just following the moves. I’m feeling it!
I know I’m capable of reaching my goals. Heck, I’ve done it before. I just have to keep the motivation up. I tend to lose focus on things after a few weeks. That’s why I joined in on the 100 day challenge. If I’ve got to report daily I’m much more likely to stay motivated to move.
Today’s Weight: 227
Cool, no major weight gain this weekend. Usually on Monday I’m up a couple of pounds.
Moved to the next level of Power 90 weight training this morning. 40 minutes with an added round of exercises and higher reps/intensity. I got through most of it without having to rest. By the end I was praying for it to be done. It’s definintely a good feeling though.
Yesterday’s eating stayed well in line with what I’ve been trying to do. More fruits and veggies, lots of water, and trying to stay away from a lot of white processed food.
