Yep, I’m chugging along. Got up early for the gym this morning (iky freezing rain the whole way to campus). Did my biking, called in to the traffic office to confirm my suspicion of not writing today, and then made up yesterday’s run when I found out my suspicion was correct. I’ll be swimming at lunch and doing some weights when I get home. For now I’m getting ready to type up a paper.

I get into the pool for free with my student ID, but for Bree to come with me she’d have to get a one day pass.  oh oh

Min HR: 87
Avg HR: 103
Max HR: 117

I took it easy on the run today. I just didn’t feel like it. I got kinda flustered this morning. I just wasn’t in a great mood when I headed off to the gym this morning, but at least the workout helped me get over some of the grumpiness I was feeling.

Day 24: 01/24/08

Sports
Meditation 05m

Steps: 13,896

Well, I took today off from training. My back was killing me. I tweaked it throwing my backpack over my shoulder. My books are too heavy. I’m thinking about switching to my rolling back pack this weekend.

Speaking of the weekend...we’re going to Kansas for the basketball game so I’ve kinda jumble my workc out schedule to fit the hotel accomodations. Should be a fun time.

I could definitely feel the weight workout from yesterday while I was walking around the parking lots writing tickets and chasing snow flakes.

Where I’m At 5 Weeks Later (12/27/07) (1/31/08):
Weight: 169.5 166 (-3.5#)
Neck: 13” (Same)
Shoulders: 40” (Same)
Chest: 36.5” 37” (+0.5”?)
Waist: 31” 29.5” (-1.5")
Hips: 42” 41” (-1")
Thigh (L/R same): 24” 23.5” (-0.5")
Calf (L/R same): 14.5” 14” (-0.5)
Forearm (L/R same): 9” (same)
Upper Arm (L/R same): 12.75” 13” (+0.25)

I don’t know if my scale is broken or if its just me. I’m half way to my waist measurement goal. I don’t know how that translates in to the weight I still want to loose. I feel like I’m stuck.

I wouldn’t worry about it. My weight is really high for my size, but the size is more what I’m concerned about, the weight loss I get is just a bonus. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s working wonderfully!

Yeah, my ultimate goal is my body shape which translates into measurements more than the scale. And speaking of weird. I weighed at 166 this morning when I got up, before I ate breakfast. Now that I’ve eaten breakfast, I weighed myself again as I changed out of my PJ’s and I’m down to 164.5. I like that one much better, but it’s way confusing. 1.5 lbs lose over breakfast, and I haven’t worked out. Surely my glasses and hair clip can’t weigh 1.5 lbs, that’s the only real difference other than adding food into my digestive system. So weird!

That is weird. If you get on and off, is it a consistent reading?

No, it takes forever to get a reading too. It jumps all over the place while trying to spit one out, low 160’s to low 170’s. and 8-10 lbs swing is not very accurate, but what would you expect from a wal-mart scale. The swings from preshower to postshower are crazy too. I don’t know what the humidity does to it but it does something because I can guarantee you that with all my hair, it weighs more wet than dry.

Hmmm, does the gym have a scale? Or you can always come over and use mine. I’ll leave the door open, gotta run to town. I apologize for the mess, but 2 little squabbling girls will be fixing that today. cool smirk
