I don’t feel all that great today (sinuses, allergies). So I think I’m going to skip my planned run and go for a walk or do some tai chi instead.

Looks like its going to be too stormy to swim too

Well, I took a nap instead of getting in a workout. I needed it though.

Ugh, my arm is still sore from that tetanus shot 2.5 weeks ago. Took me a week to be able to lift my arm above my head and then I took another week not really doing anything and laying off of it. Yesterday was probably the first I’ve really worked during our Cardio DVD. So today if I moved it a certain way it felt like they were sticking the needle in my arm all over again. And then during my strength routine, oh it hurt, it was like the needle was going in over and over again. I’m supposed to swim tomorrow but if my arm feels like they’re sticking a needle in it every time I move it I’ll have to pass. I did a few practice air strokes and it so hurt. I’ll do some more tomorrow and see how it feels.

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

To tri is to risk failure, not to tri is to guarantee it!
