How’s it going?  I hope you didn’t get lost in the woods.  Follow the bread crumbs home to MTM.  I miss seeing you here.  Let us know how you’re doing.

Hi Carrie,
I am sorry, but I have to admit that I actually did somewhat get lost in the woods… Amazing how fast my motivation vanishes… but you are probably right I should follow the bread crumbs without eating them. wink
I really had planned to work out most every day but then I got caught in my old habits.. Will try to straighten up and move this weekend....

Thanks for checking on me, Carrie.

Today I rode my spinning bike for 1 hour and it felt good. I feel glad that I did it again… Now I just have to do every day and I am fine. wink

It’s good to hear from you.  I know how it gets after a few weeks into it.  I bet for you, just getting back to work after the long vacation just put you back into the old habits.  Just get back out there and start moving again.  We’ve gotta be in shape by 40, right?

How are things going with Weight Watchers?  I’ve tried it in the past but found myself looking up how many points for a chocolate bar and piece of cake rather than eating the right foods.  I’m doing much better now just trying to eat a variety of healthy foods with a few goodies here and there.  You just can tell me I can eat anything I want as long as I count the points because all I will want is junk.  I’m pathetic!  tongue rolleye

Have a great weekend.

Hi Carrie,
Great minds work together. wink

Regarding my eating I have also not been as good as I should have been… But I think I can still say that I am eating quite healthy most of the time… However I have to watch my portion sizes and as it is. WW only works when you meticulously write down what you eat and count your point to stay where you are allowed to be. This is what I find very difficult to do… Regardless, WW taught me to cook healthy meal with lots of veggies and low fat… And I do eat a lot of fruits, etc. I just have to be more strict and not eat in between meals…

Anyway I hope I will stick to my plan to get in shape until summer… It´s not an easy task, I knew that beforehand, but I am still here and I am still kicking…

Lots of people are very successful with WW.  I’m glad you’re doing so well.

Just got off my spinning bike. Pedaled for 1 1/4 hours and according to my polar watch I used 1000 calories. Yes!! Feeling good that I finally moved again. wink

We have had snow last night. Its the first of the year. Feeling curious how long it will last.
You all have a nice weekend,

Good for you Jordan!  I’m proud of you for getting back into it.  I’m going to have to invest in one of those monitor watches.  It would be nice to have all of that information right there on my wrist.

Have a good weekend.

Today it is still cold here but also sunny. The snow has become harsh over night. Nevertheless I went jogging… because I wanted to move and spend some time outside. I jogged and walked (because it was quite slippery) for almost 2 hours and burned 1100 calories in the process while listening to the MTM podcast and some other things on my iPod.

Just checking up on you...I hope you are well.  How are you doing with your diet and exercise?  You still have time before July to reach you goals.  Take care.

Hi Carrie,
Thanks for checking on me. wink I guess I needed it, too.
I was away on a business trip for several days (Leipzig book fair) and it was nice to see your posting in my email when on my return yesterday.

I went running today for a good hour 1.100 Calories.... and I also did a lot of gardening for several hours. So today was a good day. However not all of my days are like this. Still, I am planning on kicking my on butt to get in better shape for the summer… From Wednesday on I have a few days off… and I really look forward to it. I promise to do some exercise at least every other day… We will see, if I can keep that promise.

It’s good to hear from you.  I’m glad you’re doing well.

Every other day is a good goal.  You had a great workout Saturday.  I know it’s hard to be consistant in our busy lives but it’s good for us to exercise to work off that stress.  I hope to see you posting every other day or so.  Take care!

Hi Jordan, go for it! It’s not how many times we fall that counts, it is how many times we pick ourselves up and keep going!
I will be 39 this June and I’m doing what you are doing - just one year earlier.
Look forward to read more about your progress…
