I think you’re doing the right thing. If the scale just bums you out, and you know you’re doing the right thing, then don’t play with the mean little thing. Maybe not stressing with it will help the weight move. Kudos!

Month 2 Day 4

60 minutes LSB

30 minutes Bowflex

Thanks Bree, I’m hoping this will allow things to start moving again…

Thanks Slimteacher, I have noticed my attitude has become more gooder than badder! It’s a start, and I’m happy it’s going in the right direction…

Me too Tom!

I always push myself a bit harder on the Bowflex on Mondays, maybe because I’ve had 2 days rest...or maybe just because it’s fun! I usually lift 10 more pounds on Mondays.

Your just awesome Deb…

Is’nt it funny how we can feel stronger some days than others....

I tried the Scott method of pyching myself out before working with the weights.....pumping my muscles, and hey, it works!

I can pump my bicep Tom! But I’m not sure where most of the muscles are even located. I love my lat pulldowns; I think that’s somewhere in my back, right? Maybe I’d better do some studying and find out where these things are, so I can pump too!

I can just imagine you flexing in a mirror now, Deb!  tongue wink Do you remember the Saturday Night Live skits with Hans and Frans? “I’m gonna pump ((clap)) ... You Up!” What fun we can have!

Bree, you are too funny!  LOL

I experienced busygym today… Randy’s friend stopped by for coffee just at workout time, so I had to wait (since I work out in the dining room and DIDN’T want an audience!  gulp  ) Then I had to quick get my workout done because the “doorguys” were going to be putting in a new kitchen door this afternoon, and oh did I mention I DIDN’T want an audience? LOL

Month 2 Day 7

60 minutes LSB

30 minutes yoga

I got on the treadmill this morning and felt tall! Now that’s not something I’ve ever felt being 5’2”. I think it must be that I was standing up straight, good posture, perhaps there’s not as much weighing me down nowadays...hmmm smirk

Month 2 Day 8

60 minutes LSB

30 minutes Bowflex

I felt really strong today, both on the treadmill, where I sustained 3.2 mph for 50 minutes, which is a new personal best! and on the Bowflex, where I was able to match Monday’s killer weights. Next week I’ll try for all three workouts with the killer weight! And as long as my shins and knees behave, perhaps two or maybe three strong 3.2 days on the treadmill.

Month 2 Day 10

Scheduled Rest Day

I’ve discovered if I don’t have cheese on my lunch salad, I can have 2 snacks in the afternoon instead of just one! This one fact has really helped me stay within my calories and still feel like I’m splurging just a bit. Cool!

Month 2 Day 11

60 minutes LSB

30 minutes Bowflex

Yay for snacks, learning, and motivation! And good to hear from you, Denise!

I was able to push my weights today, like I usually do on Monday, so that was encouraging, after pushing on Friday as well.  But I was pretty weak on the treadmill this morning, so no personal best today. But that’s OK, I just keep doing it, and it will get done.

Month 2 Day 12

60 minutes LSB

30 minutes yoga

Yoga is quite uncomfortable this time of year - we keep our house at about 62, so it’s pretty freezy to go barefoot to do my yoga...I shiver a lot!  smirk

Someone said we burn more calories when we shiver so maybe your thermostat is your new weight loss tool.

I don’t know how you stand 62 degrees. Although I’m fine outside at that temperature, inside I have a cold nose below 66. (All I can think of are comments about dogs or reptiles!)
