I’ve recently upgraded to the Premium Membership and have been reading last year’s post for the 100 Days of Exercise Challenge and have decided to join in 2008. Like most folks, it’s sometimes difficult to find the energy to go the gym or pop in the workout DVD after a long day at the office. But once I do it, I feel quite proud of my accomplishments that I was able to do it. I figure by making a commitment to doing the challenge, it will provide me with extra incentive to make exercise a permanent part of my schedule. So here we go with my first entry....
Day 1:
30 mins Strength Training Workout DVD
20 mins Cardio Yoga
See everyone tomorrow with my next entry for Day 2.
Awww you dove right in...how are the waters???? It is good to think about what you want and why you want it...how are you going to get it? That’s right, you have to make the commitment to exercise. Can’t wait to see what this challenge brings you.
Thanks everyone for their encouraging posts. As promise, here’s today’s exercises:
Day 2:
1 Hour of Kickboxing at the Gym. It kicked my a** but I just broke up with my boyfriend and it felt great throwing punches and kicks/
PS:
Jenni4, as for your question on the Cardio Yoga 20 min workout, I found it on this website http://www.exercisetv.tv. They have a library of quick workouts between 10 - 20 mins long and I like to do a quick one in the morning or before bed if I can’t make it to the gym.
Woo Hoo!! I weighed in at my WW meeting this morning and lost 9.4 lbs!!! This is such a great feeling especially since I gained 5 lbs during Christmas week. It feels great to be back on track both mentally and physcially to reach my weight loss goal.
30 mins Jillian Michael Strength DVD
30 Quick Toning DVD
My goal this week is to lose another 2.5 lbs so I can finally get back to being under 200 lbs. In order to meet that goal I’m sticking with working out at least 4 times this week, logging into my food journal, and listening to Scott’s audio programs to keep me motivated.
40 mins of Masala Bhangra Dance class - It’s an Indian dance class offererd at the Crunch gym in NYC. If anyone is a Crunch member, I highly recommend it. It’s high cardio but tons of fun as you imagine dancing in a Bollywood move.
Thanks everyone for the encouragement. It really helps with the momentum. Here’s my Day 7 Fitness Journal:
30 mins Weight Lifting
1 Hour of Step
While this week I’m really pushing to weigh in under 200 lbs at my WW meeting this Saturday, I’m also really appreciating how much stronger I’m getting both physically and mentally which the scale doesn’t measure.
Hi Everyone. Here’s my Day 8 Journal. This was done yesterday but I forgot to log on.
1 Hour Fat Burning Pilates
Plus I weighted in at my WW meeting earlier today and (Drumroll Please) I lost 2.8 lbs which brings me down to 199.4 lbs. I’m finally under the 200 mark. This accomplishment feels great. I’m now only 6 lbs away from my first goal of hitting my 10% by February 28.
